This weeks progress. Front door finally painted in “olive colour”. It took us a year to decide but we are very happy with the colour and the quality of the paint.
Also the steps are done (just need so@e beautiful railings next). We found the York stone with bull nose lip at Such a great selection if you want something in keeping with the period.

Next the rockery. Please make suggestions as to your favourite rockery plants. I’ve popped a few things in but want to plan it better. So any suggestions very welcome. Xx

Porch progress. Very happy with my Victorian feel floor tiles with the lovely border. Fitted by my clever brother in law Ian.
A couple of scalloped mats from for now and it’s starting to look good. More importantly it’s so lovely to clean and wash so we are very happy.

Paint choices proved trickier. But now I’m happy with the colour Galette by on the walls in the porch and Savage Ground paintwork by ; and then f&b Hay paint on walls and woodwork in the lounge. As they had to all work together it took me a few tries to get it right….

Wooden floors in lounge are original but made good as new (worst job he’s ever done apparently) by our lovely friend

The Hannoh self check wool and linen Vivienne jacket.
Such a lovely relaxed piece but with enough elegance to pair over a fancy dress. Timeless in this cinnamon brown. Fully lined in soft soft cotton.
The carol crisp cotton shirt with the relaxed body and then the tiny cotton lace collar that just elevates it. How hannoh keep producing such beautiful pieces is incredible.
And the one-off quilted dress in ivory by black crane. Cosy classy and chic. Pair with the little cashmere mj Watson neck tie and you’re sorted for any occasion…literally.

My lovely mum. 50 years today since I’ve hugged my mum. She died aged 31 from malignant melanoma. Everyone who knew her loved her. She was kind sweet and intelligent. I try to be like her but I miss her every day. One day soon I will hug her again. Miss you mum. X
