LOVE NOTES.....what better day than Valentine's Day to share a few small business crushes and longtime loves ❤️

This year my card to Andrew was from and I went with a mix tape personalised design 📼 💕

My day started with micellar water and lip balm 💚

My ears are curated with and gold pieces and most of my piercings have been done by JJ at 💜

I am currently saving for a special piece of jewellery from 💙 her pieces are so beautiful 😍

I have had a take away from this morning to keep cosy while the girls danced 💛

has brought me so much confidence! Absolutely beautiful shoes that fit! I think I am upto 7 pairs but there will be more! Only available is sizes EU42+ 🤎

And finally I have just started a new candle that my wonderland gave me for my birthday 🎂 from

CHRISTMAS EVE.....despite best intentions I have only made one item this year! A heirloom stocking for my niece.

However to keep up my advocacy I have purchased small & indie Christmas gifts from... .bar.soap and probably more but my brain is a bit fuzzy now! All our stocking gifts have been wrapped in old and crackers stuff from .crackers 🥰

There is nothing better than a Breton in Spring!

Popping on the machine yesterday to finish a commission for my lovely Mum (that she asked for many, many months ago) was an utter delight. Actually using my little studio for its main purpose just made me realise how much I miss !!

So watch this space for a serving of strawberries and stripes.....

It's Christmas Eve.....the night of traditions and love!

Ours has started with the mice moving to their final pocket of the advent tree and our Advent Fairy has delivered a book from Father Christmas (thanks to .post and ).

This year, my business has been quieter than ever, but my love and advocacy of small business has continued and the list of small businesses that are part of our family traditions is longer than my arm!!!!!

So basically I just popped on here to send you all festive wishes and lots of love. Hope you get a hot drink and a mince pie for yourself today and that tomorrow is filled with sparkle and smiles. Xx

Made with love and concentration.....

On Friday, if you choose to spend your hard earned money, think about how your purchase was made, where it was made, who made it, how it was wrapped???

Shopping small brings colour, brings joy to both the recipient and the small business owner/designer/maker....the jumper decorated in the home studio, the jacket made in a historic studio in Blackburn, the skincare made in lab in Leyland, the crocheted cushion from Frome.....the list is endless.

So on this Colour Friday, think about the handwritten note, the exquisite gift wrapping as you spend your hard earned money! It isn't the size of the gift but the love and thought behind it.

Oops it doesn't fit.....

Advent starts on Sunday and I love the growing in excitement as each day passes. We have a fabric advent calendar with Liberty Tana Lawn pockets in which a family of Maileg mice move from pocket to pocket from the 1st - 24th December....

But this year I also have an empty Liberty beauty calendar (with Lodden print inside which is one of my favourites) that I am going to place little treats, messages from our House Fairy and clues to find a book on Christmas Eve. This beautiful chocolate coin was also going in the Christmas Eve drawer, however it was too big so you know what? I treated myself to it today as I watched Wicked at the cinema! It was delicious and the film was fabulous!

As we are now just 4 sleeps away from Colour Friday I urge you to take yourself over to to order the most magical chocolate gifts! Their chocolate mice are part of our Christmas tradition now ❤️ and the packing is nostalgic personified!!!! You just don't get that from your average supermarket!

Gosh....a month until Christmas Eve! Also, it is 5 sleeps until Colour Friday.

How are you feeling? I am quite organised really but we do also have a smaller family so appreciate that I have an easier job than others.

But on my list of things to sort this week are crackers gifts to fill my .crackers for Christmas Day, I'm looking for gifts for my parents, my sister, Andrew and the girls. Please add comments and tag your small business below for any suggestions!!!!!
