Studio update ๐Ÿ’œ

It's busy at the studio โ€” just the way I like it!

Alterations are absolutely crazy busy right now, plus I've got two custom pieces on the go and teaching commitments too.

If you need to book in, my next available slots are from 25th June onwards.

Thanks for keeping me busy! ๐Ÿ’œโœจ

โ˜€๏ธ Ooooo sunshine, where have ya gone? โ˜€๏ธ

You best make a return soon because I need an excuse to wear this VF dress again! โœจ

A super-quick evening shoot with , a field full of dandelions, and some bonus sheep and lambs thrown in for good measure. The countryside understood the assignment. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’›

Now if the weather could stop being a moody bish and bring back the sunshine, that'd be grand. ๐ŸŒž

When your nails bring you so much joy, you've just got to get them on the grid! ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’— Green and cerise has to be one of my all-time favourite colour combinations.

Today I've been working on an alteration for myself in these very shades, and next up I have some beautiful scuba fabric queued up to make a new top.

Alteration video coming soon, because this skirt is just too cute not to share! โœจ

Leopard print tarts... assemble! ๐Ÿ†

I make everything in a range of fabrics and prints, but if you ask me for leopard print, don't be surprised if I get a bit overexcited.

Leopard has always been my favourite print, and a chocolate leopard is basically a neutral as far as I'm concerned. It goes with everything and I will not be taking questions at this time.

Whether you fancy a little flash of leopard or want to go full queen of the jungle, any VF design can be made up in alternative fabrics and prints. Just ask!

Things at VF have been great lately ๐Ÿ’œ

I've been spending a lot of time helping people alter, repair and upcycle their clothes, which honestly never gets old. There's something really special about taking a garment that's been forgotten, doesn't quite fit, or has seen better days, and helping it find its way back into someone's wardrobe instead of the bin.

I'm also absolutely loving teaching my one-to-one student through Alternative Provisions. Watching someone gain confidence, experiment and realise they're capable of making things they never thought they could is pretty magical.

In between all that, I'm busy plotting and planning some workshops at Ebor. It's still very much in the "lots of ideas and crossed fingers" stage, but I'm excited about the possibilities.

And perhaps the nicest thing of all, I'm finally making things just for me again. Just creating because I want to. Playing with fabrics, following ideas, making weird and wonderful pieces and dragging myself out of the studio to photograph them in interesting places.

Here's to mending, making, teaching, learning, creating and giving old pieces new stories.

Big love, Lindsey ๐Ÿ’œ

Mend It May has been mega this year, with so many of you dropping off pieces to be fixed, altered and upcycled.

Iโ€™ve been flat out, so Iโ€™ve only managed a few mends of my own lately, but Iโ€™m always so grateful to everyone choosing repair over throwaway and keeping me busy doing what I love โ™ป๏ธ๐Ÿชก

And the busy spell definitely isnโ€™t slowing down anytime soonโ€ฆ thank you to everyone who got in touch early after Tuesdayโ€™s update. My queue is staying very full, but honestly, thatโ€™s exactly how I like it ๐Ÿ’œ

Huge thank you to everyone who has supported, recommended and already used alterations services here at VF. Hereโ€™s a quick update from myself regarding booking in during this very busy period.

Appointments are filling up extremely quickly, so if you are needing any alterations completed for upcoming events, holidays or special occasions, please get in touch as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Iโ€™m currently working through a high volume of bookings and messages, so I truly appreciate your patience and continued support. Every recommendation, share and booking genuinely means so much to me.

Thank you again,
VF

Boom here she is a mash up between two archive VF styles, a Mitsu bodice with a Fia skirt, and I bloody love her.

Manufactured in a pastel cloud print cotton, fully lined and it's so lovely to swish about in! This piece is a stunner you want to wear again and again, I do, I think I'll be rocking this to a wedding over the Summer.

Since the online store is no more, the place to get all the deets about new designs (including prices) is the Facebook group (link in the bio) AND this Monday we'll be going live at 3pm, talking VF news, recent changes to look after my mental health, workshops and finally the new styles I've been out and about photographing with Paul and Lou. Also, it'll be Bank Holiday Monday so me & Em will definitely have some booze ๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿท๐Ÿธ๐Ÿบ

The Bank Holiday is here, have a fab one, big love, Lindsey ๐Ÿ’Ÿ
