Detail is where the story lives.

From hand-applied red beadwork tracing the shoulder and sleeve, to traditional Ijaw groom shirt fastenings reimagined as feminine adornment, to sculpted corsetry finished with jewel-toned embellishment every element carries intention.

These are not surface decorations.

They are references.
To ceremony.
To partnership.
To heritage worn with precision.

Masculine ritual translated into modern femininity.
Texture layered over structure.
Tradition reworked through craftsmanship.

Up close, the collection reveals its depth.

UNRELEASED- TEMIERE BEADED DRESS - The Ijaw Heritage capsule

Temiere is a celebration of texture, light, and craftsmanship.

This strapless silhouette is fully hand-beaded from top to hem, transforming fabric into surface, and surface into statement. The intricate beadwork traces the natural grid of the textile, adding depth, dimension, and richness with every step.

The sculpted bodice shapes the waist, while the structured mini skirt holds volume and movement — playful yet refined. In motion, the dress catches the light from every angle, creating a subtle shimmer that feels both festive and elevated.

Temiere is not understated.
She is luminous.

Rooted in cultural celebration and executed with couture precision, this piece honours the artistry of handwork while embracing modern femininity.

Joyful. Bold. Radiant.

These gold fastenings are inspired by the traditional shirt accessories worn by Ijaw grooms during wedding ceremonies. On the wedding day, men wear decorated studs and chain details across the chest a sign of formality, pride, and honour.

In this design, those masculine ceremonial elements are reinterpreted for the modern woman.

The chain becomes adornment.
The studs become statement.
Tradition shifts form but not meaning.

What was once worn by the groom is now reimagined as feminine strength. A quiet nod to partnership. A dialogue between bride and groom. Structure and softness. Masculine heritage and feminine presence.

This is not decorative styling.
It is cultural continuity.

And in close detail, it tells the story of Ijaw wedding ceremony beyond fabric, beyond silhouette.

UNRELEASED- TAMERA SET. - ijaw heritage capsule

Tamera is a study in restraint and power.

A sharply tailored cropped jacket is paired with a sculpted maxi fishtail skirt, creating a silhouette that is both structured and fluid. The fitted shape elongates the body before flaring gently at the hem, adding movement and quiet drama with every step.

The deep black base speaks to composure and depth, allowing the red embellishments to take focus. These details are crafted from traditional Ijaw beads — the same beads found on the ceremonial staff carried during wedding rites. In Ijaw culture, that staff represents honour, lineage, and formal union. Here, those sacred elements are reworked into modern design, placing ceremony directly onto the body.

The wide-brim hat crowns the look with authority, grounding it in tradition while maintaining contemporary sharpness.

Tamera is not loud.
She is assured.

Structured above.
Fluid below.
Rooted in culture, designed for the present.

UNRELEASED- EREME THE RULER - the ijaw heritage capsule

Featured in Vogue Italia, this piece is crafted from the traditional Ijaw ruler fabric known as Onibaghe a ceremonial textile associated with honour, celebration, and status.

Historically worn during significant rites, the fabric carries authority through its bold red grid lines and structured composition. In this design, that heritage textile is reshaped into a sculptural, contemporary silhouette.

The sharp, pointed hip structures create a striking architectural frame, adding tension and strength to the body. The defined shoulders balance the silhouette, giving it presence and command. The high neckline maintains ceremony, while the wide-brim hat amplifies the drama.

This is not soft nostalgia.

It is heritage sharpened.
Tradition, constructed with edge.
Culture expressed through precision.

A bold statement of Ijaw identity
reimagined for the global stage.

UNRELEASED- THE PREYE MINI. - Ijaw heritage capsule

Inspired by the ceremonial attire worn by Ijaw grooms, The Bevel reinterprets masculine regality through a feminine lens.

Traditionally, an Ijaw groom’s outfit is defined by structure, composure, and dignified layering the upright stance of a man stepping into covenant. The high neckline nods to the formal inner shirt worn beneath traditional wrappers and embroidered tunics, while the clean, squared bodice mirrors the strength and discipline of menswear tailoring.

Crafted in deep royal blue velvet, the silhouette holds presence. The subtle drape at the waist echoes the tied wrapper of the groom, reimagined as a sculpted mini-length form that softens strength with elegance.

The gold detailing at the neckline speaks to honour, lineage, and the quiet wealth of tradition.

This is masculinity translated not diluted.
Ceremonial. Structured. Intentional.

A bride’s counterpart.
A woman carrying both grace and authority.

UNRELEASED— THE OWUPELE SET

The Owupele Set draws from the traditional Ijaw blouse and wrapper a sacred silhouette worn during wedding rites and moments of formal introduction.

At its heart is the wrapper, cut from the revered ruler fabric known as Onibaghe. Among the Ijaw people, this particular gorge wrapper is not ornamental it is symbolic. It is the cloth a woman wears when a man formally comes to ask for her hand in marriage.

It signifies dignity. Readiness. Honour. Lineage.

Reimagined here with a sculpted off-shoulder bodice and a structured draped wrapper featuring a high slit, the look bridges heritage and modern femininity. The bold red ruler lines hold authority; the silhouette holds power.

This is not just attire.
It is ceremony woven into cloth.
It is tradition, carried forward.
