💙 Supporting Jake’s journey to Kenya! 🇰🇪

We’re so proud to support Jake, a Year 9 student from Liverpool, as he takes on an incredible fundraising challenge ahead of his 4-week expedition to Kenya in 2028.

Jake will be working on community development projects, supporting environmental initiatives, helping with wildlife conservation and even learning to scuba dive in the Indian Ocean! 🌊🐘

To raise the £5,190 needed for his expedition, Jake will be taking on a whole host of challenges over the next two years, from running events and washing cars to car boot sales and some much bigger challenges along the way.

His first challenge is the Yorkshire 3 Peaks on 30th August 2026 — a huge 24-mile hike to complete within 12 hours! 🥾⛰️

And he won’t be taking on this first challenge alone! Jake’s dad will be joining him for the Yorkshire 3 Peaks, taking on the 24 miles together. 👨‍👦💪

We’re delighted to have donated the T-shirts that Jake and his dad will be wearing as they take on this challenge. 👕❤️

And the best part? Jake won’t be doing them all alone! For some of his challenges, his friends will be joining him, making the journey even more special and hopefully creating some amazing memories along the way. 🙌

We’ll be cheering Jake, his dad and his friends on every step of the way!

✨ So, who is the person behind milli&munch? ✨

Well… I’m Jen! 👋🏻 The person behind the sewing machine, the embroidery machine, the paintbrushes, the camera, the parcels, the endless ideas and probably far too much fabric! 😂💕

milli&munch began way back in 2010, when my son Henry was born. I started making unique little things for him because I wanted something special that you couldn’t just find in a shop.

Then friends and family started asking me to make things for them… and one thing led to another. Before I knew it, milli&munch had grown into the little handmade business I’m so incredibly proud of today.

And the name has a special story too. Henry was always our little Munch, and my best friend’s daughter was called Milli. So… milli&munch was born. ❤️

These days I make all sorts of handmade and personalised goodies, from baby and children’s clothes and cuddly teddies to embroidered gifts, personalised cups, mugs and lots of lovely baby bits. Basically, if it can be made, personalised or made ridiculously cute, I’ll probably want to have a go at it! 😂

I’ve always been a creative soul and I’m a completely self-taught seamstress. No fancy sewing qualifications here, just lots of experimenting, learning, unpicking, trying again… and probably saying “I can make that!” far too often! 😂🧵

I love sewing, making things and, more recently, I’ve fallen in love with watercolour painting. I love walking, being outdoors and I’m also a photographer… although I should probably add very far from professional to that description! 😂📸

I have a big love of all things country and have loved country music for as long as I can remember. There’s a very good chance you’ll find me happily listening to country music while I’m creating something. 🤠🎶

I’m also a huge rugby union enthusiast 🏉 and one of my favourite things is watching my youngest play. There’s nothing quite like being a proud mum on the sidelines, cheering them on… even if I occasionally get a little too invested in the game! 😂

I’m a Forest School Leader and have worked with children for over 20 years, so creating things for little people feels like a pretty perfect fit. 🥰

I’m a mum to three, Gillian, Henry and Lucas, have been married for 24 years, and after living in Germany, England and Canada, I’m now happily settled in Liverpool.

And next year I’ll be celebrating the big 5-0! 😳😂

But the thing I love most about milli&munch isn’t just making the things.

It’s knowing that something I’ve created might become part of your child’s childhood.

I want the things I make to feel special. To feel personal. To make you smile when you open the parcel. And hopefully, years down the line, to bring back those lovely little memories of when your children were small. ❤️

I’m genuinely proud of every single thing that leaves my hands, but nothing beats a customer coming back to tell me how much they’ve loved something I’ve made.

That’s why I keep creating.

Made from the brightest, happiest fabrics, with floppy ears, a squishy little body and a cute heart detail… because apparently one fabric just wasn’t enough! 😂🌈

💙 Another special order finished! 🐘✨

This beautiful handmade baby gift set is now complete and ready for its new home. Featuring a soft elephant cushion, matching nappy and wipes pouch, all made using these gorgeous circus-themed fabrics and finished with coordinating navy polka dot details.

I absolutely love creating baby gifts that are both practical and unique. Choosing fabrics that work beautifully together and turning them into something made with love is one of my favourite parts of what I do.

Every stitch is sewn with care, making each set completely one of a kind. I hope this little bundle brings lots of smiles and becomes part of some precious memories. 💙
