If you’d like to feel the fabrics or see the colours of the Tree Spirit Corsets in person before placing an order, I will also be offering fabric samples at launch tommorow! ᖭི༏ᖫྀ

These samples are cut-offs from corsets I have already made, meaning no excess fabric is wasted unnecessarily 🌱

This is another thing I really wanted to do to help people who have sensory issues. I have taken a lot of care to choose good quality and sensory safe fabrics for my designs however, fabrics that feel comfortable for me may not for others. So I wanted to give people an opportunity to feel the fabrics themselves before deciding to place an order with me! But seeing the fabrics in person can be helpful for everyone, not just those with sensory difficulties

Handcrafted from a choice of duchess satin or 100% cotton, and inspired by faeries, fantasy and folklore, the Tree Spirit Corset is fully lined and b***d for support, comfort and structure. It also features silver eyelet and ribbon back lacing and shoulder ties for an adjustable fit. ଘ( ᴗ͈ ᴗ͈)ഒ

I am autistic / audhd and I really struggle with sensory difficulties. I created away with the fairies after I began designing & making sensory friendly clothing for myself because I thought that maybe others would like what I make too! Therefore all of my designs are created with sensory needs in mind🩵

The Tree Spirit Corset includes a flat, sewn, non-scratchy away with the fairies tag, adjustable shoulder ties & back lacing, and is made from soft & smooth duchess satin or 100% cotton which are both comfortable against the skin. 🌱🧚🏻‍♀️

However, since each individual has different sensory needs, I also offer custom sensory accommodations on all made-to-order garments. In the personalised requests section on Etsy, you can let me know if, for example, you’d prefer a cotton lining instead of satin for the satin corsets, if you would like your corset made without boning, or if you’d like your corset shortened or lengthened. All accommodations are completely free of charge🧝🏻‍♀️🫧

I feel very honoured to say that I am officially a kings trust supported business 🌷 ᖭི༏ᖫྀ

Over the past eighteen months I have been on the Kings Trust Enterprise programme where I have been learning how to set up my own business 🪲🐞💚

Before I started the programme I didn’t know that having my own business was something I could do! I am autistic /audhd and since leaving school I learnt very quickly that the world is often not too kind to those who are different.

I tried very hard to have a “traditional” job but I became stuck in a cycle of starting a new job, getting burnt out very very quickly from a lot of anxiety and masking, asking for (and subsequently being denied) support and accommodations and then being let go after a month.

But then about a year and a half ago, feeling very lost and very afraid, I started the Kings Trust Enterprise Programme! Here I learnt that there were others who had experienced exactly what I had and I didn’t feel so alone or frightened anymore. I also learnt that starting your own business isn’t reserved just for those with business degrees, it was something I could do too!

So, with the help and support of my mentors at the Kings Trust, I started away with the fairies and I am now almost ready to launch my first design, the Tree Spirit Corset (which I am making in this photo)

When I was little all I wanted to do was to make things. I went through a phase when I was 10 or so, after watching a lot of traffic cops, of wanting to be a police detective but I think I am much better suited to sewing and fashion design. And now, because of the Kings Trust, I get to do that every day and for this I am very very grateful! ଘ( ᴗ͈ ᴗ͈)ഒ
