My beautiful loom is for sale, it’s very bittersweet ❤️ for those of you who know me personally, know I kept this loom in immaculate condition, it’s an extension of my craft. Please share with your weaver friends!

The loom is being sold with additions, this is everything you’ll need to run a full production set up.

Compu dobby system, 24 harnesses/shafts. Metal heddle upgrade. Laptop with WeavePoint 8 software included.
48” weaving width.
Can support multiple warp beams (up to three). Included are a plain and sectional beam.
Bottom Swing be**er.
Automatic Cloth Storage system.
Automatic Warp Tension system with pressure roller and sandpaper beam.
Automatic Warp Advance System.
Adjustable Bench and built-in tool holder.
Sustainably sourced, hardwood construction. Made in USA.

The loom has been well maintained and serviced annually.

This loom with additions is worth over £16,000 sensible offers only. Currently available from AVL for £13,000 EXCLUDING any additions or freight, this is for the basic shell of the loom.

The Liverpool Weaving Company is closing its doors 😢

Thank you to everyone who made the last seven years possible! It’s been the most incredible journey.
For those of you who know me personally, know that as my passion for teaching grew, I excitedly embarked on taking this to the next level. I have recently completed a PGCE and will be teaching full time as of next month.
Thank you to everyone who attended my workshops, bought my fabrics, attended my exhibitions, interned with me and shared my posts, it’s meant so much ❤️
Thank you to LibraBy Natalie for all your hard work and commitment, now an amazing businesswoman in her own right, please check out Natalie’s page if you haven’t already!

With this change in career, I am also selling my beautiful AVL. I’ve looked after her like an extension of me and I hope to find a good home for her. If anyone is interested please get in touch or share my post with other weavers. I also have an insane amount of yarn, so keep a look out for future posts regarding sale.

We’re changing our logo to pink as a tribute to Elsie Dot Stancombe, Bebe King and Alice Dasilva Aguiar.

The Liverpool Weaving Company offers our heartfelt condolences to the victims and families effected by this and we have donated to their Go Fund Me page, which is still active if anyone else would like to do the same.

As a Mother myself with my daughter attending similar activities over summer, I can’t even comprehend that an act so violent has took place in our area.

Sefton Council will illuminate The Atkinson building in Southport with a pink light, and many other councils and landmarks will also participate. St George’s Hall, Liverpool Town Hall, the Cunard, The Mersey Gateway Bridge, Chester Town Hall and hospitals across the north west will also light up pink as a mark of respect on Friday, Saturday and Sunday evening.

Staff Workshop 🧶

A couple of weeks ago we were invited to Liverpool John Moores University to deliver a workshop for the faculty.

There’s an array of workshops for staff to try that evoke mindfulness and encourage positive mental health in the workplace, it’s a great opportunity to have a few hours winding down and try something new.

Thank you to for having me for another successful session, it’s always a pleasure to be at the university.

For the next 4 weeks, Amber .textiles will be joining The Liverpool Weaving Company for an internship.

I’m currently a student studying textiles at Arts University Bournemouth, experimenting in a wide range of media. My love of textiles is found within the yarns and threaded techniques such as weaving, crocheting and knit. I’m very excited to learn from Kirsty and develop my skills for my future career in the textiles industry.
