This gown needed more than simple alterations.
The bust and waist had to be expanded.
The sleeves were repositioned
to allow comfortable movement.
The armhole deepened.
The fit under the bust refined.
The zipper replaced.
The length shortened.
Because sometimes the difference
between “wearable”
and “comfortable”
is hidden in the construction.
