When watching home styling videos on YouTube I am always confused as to ‘book shelf’ styling. Usually there are only a handful of carefully curated coordinating linen covered books and then mostly decor pieces…it’s called a book shelf for a reason otherwise it’s just a shelf. It seems it’s all about ‘vignettes’ and not about styling your books in a nice way. I’m a book person, sorry not sorry 📚📕📗📘💗

Antique? Vintage? Retro?
Antique = Something 100 years or older
Vintage = Something 20 years or older
Retro = it’s new but looking back to an old style (retro is short for retrospective meaning looking back)
