That feeling when you finally get a project off your mending pile 🪡✨

This cropped white top started life as an oversized nightie with short sleeves. It was only worn once and after 4 years on the mending pile, was almost given up on. Luckily, a burst of motivation saved it!

The hem was shortened to a cropped style and the sleeves taken off so the lace trim could be reattached.

It was a joy to see so much mending taking place at our workshops and in Edgware last month! We helped to save trousers, tops, skirts and dresses from going to landfill.

We’re back Edgware today, next Saturday and on Monday 18th.

These workshops are free to attend thanks to funding from and project.

We’ve really enjoyed starting our workshops & again this year! We’ve been supporting people to take up hems, fix leather bags, darn jumpers, refashion shirts and much more.

It was lovely connecting and sharing mending ideas with people across the UK in our Online Mend-Along at the start of the month too.

We’re thrilled to announce that we’ve been awarded another grant from !

Thanks to this incredible support, we’ll be offering free clothes repair workshops online, at St. Margaret's House and at The Remakery from February 2026 until 2028. We’ll also be offering a series of free one-off workshops at community centres across London.

We’ll be sharing next year’s workshops dates in the new year. Sign up to our newsletter below to hear when booking is open.
