Custom made leather goods through considered design. My name is Doug and I live in Devon with my Beautiful wife Danielle and our two young children Hugo and Margot, and our loyal hound Django, a Wirehaired Pointer with energy to spare. I’m drawn to nature and have worked in Conservation as a Ranger for over a decade but I followed formal education down a design route cu
lminating in a degree in Furniture design. While I love working with wood and metal it lacks the immediacy of leather work, a table may take a month to make but I can craft a beautiful wallet that will last a lifetime (or longer) in an hour or two. My aim is to create heirloom standard goods from quality materials at a lower price point through considered design, drawing on my love of the outdoors for inspiration. The majority of my work is made to order to ensure minimal waste and reduce costs. All of my work is made using veg tan leather which is tanned using natural ingredients (primarily oak and chestnut bark), this combined with years of holding, poking in your pocket, dropping, popping in your bag and sitting on will result in a product that will develop its own patina to become a truly unique item.
