Things I wish I knew when I was a kid growing up with Mental Health issues and disorders 💖
I think a big step towards ending the mental health stigma is making it normalised through conversation. I was confused growing up, I didn’t understand why I was the way I was. I dealt with it in silence and isolated myself when it was too much. A lot of people weren’t open about Mental Health issues, maybe they didn’t know how to talk about it either ? I’m glad we can all share our experiences and advice openly so we realise that we aren’t alone. We need to support each other and know that it’s ok to get professional help!💜
