Something has been quietly in our hands for the past year.

The Tessa Ballerina and the Tessa Sandal are our first hand-knotted leather shoes.

Every upper is knotted by hand, strand by strand, in small batches. 19 hours for one Ballerina. 7 hours for one Sandal.

The leather is full-grain, LWG-certified, fully lined.

Cassava is the structured one in the Black Tulip range. Classic tennis trainer silhouette, sculpted collar, full grain leather. It holds its shape all day and looks just as good at 6pm as it did at 8am.

The Sage Green works with neutrals. The Lilac works with everything else.

She had access to a shoe factory. And still couldn't find the right pair.

Sonam Joshan studied fashion design and ran her own clothing line. She married into a family of third-generation shoe factory owners - and with more access to production than almost any consumer in the UK, she still couldn't find a trainer that worked for her life.

So she built Black Tulip. The Arbi in Chocolate was one of the first styles she made. It's now our most-worn pair.
