The full review: WOW what a product and brand! The best un**es I have ever treated my peach to. They are so soft! Durable, dynamic - meeting the customer’s needs and high quality material. As a women with Psoriasis I have always found it difficult to find underwear that soothes my b***y and provides comfort throughout the day, but these do just that! The packaging is so cute, they are sustainable, comfy and soothing. If you haven’t got these briefs in your lingerie drawer, then go get yourself some. Can’t wait to see what else this brand has in store for us in the future. A valuable brand in the sensitive skin community.

Could your clothing be causing skin flares? 🤔 It wasn’t until I switched to cotton pants, and now (obviously) Tencel Lyocell, that I realised that my old polyester underwear had been making my skin conditions worse!

🪢 Synthetic polymer-based fibres are not water soluble, and tend to trap moisture in between the fibres. This makes for a bacteria haven, as they love a warm, moist environment.

🌳 Natural polymer-based fibres are usually water soluble and biodegradable. Like Tencel, Cotton and Bamboo. They absorb and wick the water away, rather than trapping it against your skin. This keeps your skin drier as well as being a non hospitable environment for bacteria.

🧫 So, you can see why wearing polyester pants or clothing might be flaring your skin condition. It keeps the moisture and bacteria thriving against your skin, whilst natural fabrics help to draw it out!

Ever wondered what might be triggering spots on your butt? Here’s some common culprits:

🍑 #1: Synthetic Materials. This one might come as a surprise! Did you know that synthetic materials (like polyester & nylon) are a haven for bacteria? The bacteria gets trapped between the fibres and helps it to thrive. Natural materials (such as Cotton & Tencel) don’t trap bacteria and naturally wick it away. You may find that your polyester pants or trousers are triggering spots.

🍑 #2: Reactions to waxing and shaving. Our hair follicles are prone to infection due to trapped dead skin and bacteria. Whether we are waxing or shaving (or neither!) this process can sometimes cause a reaction. Some people might see these as raised red bumps, and some as white heads.

🍑 #3. Speaking of hair follicles, you may know that Folliculitis and Hidradenitis Supperativa are both conditions that are related to our hair follicles and infection. It was these two conditions that led to the creation of Pêche Fraîche!

🍑 #4: Sweat. We did a poll recently asking whether people had spots on their bum. The majority answers were all the time, or *after a workout*. Moist, damp, sweaty environments are a dream for bacteria. So you can see why it’s one of the most common triggers for spots.

🍑 #5: Sitting on unclean surfaces. Reading between the lines (cracks?): the toilet seat! If there is so much as a droplet on the loo seat, whether that’s cleaning liquid, water, or 👀 …anything else, my bum reacts instantly.

Why peach? 🍑 When we started out Pêche Fraîche (Fresh Peach) it was to find a solution for those of us prone to sensitive, spots, lumps and bumps on our skin. We were inspired by the fuzziness, dimpliness, speckles and scars that you’d find on a peach. It seemed ironic that we couldn’t see the same beauty in our skin on our own bottoms!
Since then, this last 18 months hasn’t just been about creating pants, it’s been about spreading the message that all bums are beaut… Just like nature’s bum: the peach!
