My first thought was… So you’re saying I don’t attract clients?

Here’s the thing, just because something can be improved doesn’t mean it’s broken. And pointing out someone’s gaps before you’ve even had a conversation isn’t help, it’s an attack dressed up as generosity.

If I lost all my clients and I had to start with 0 clients as a photographer? Here’s what I would do:

1. Get specific! I don’t want to compete with the masses that all do headshots. I need one client! I’ll be the best at a specific type and then niche up later.
2. Build your positioning around that which will inform your marketing.
3. Go to networking events and tell people exactly who you serve and how you’re different. I want to be top of mind.
4. No need to drop your price to get the first booking in the door.

Most people skip straight to #3 and wonder why nothing sticks.

Once the cash is in. I’d take pause and build from a place of ease and strength to apply a proper strategy. What you start with is seldom what will take you to your peak!
