We handpick our stock and never buy in bulk, so every item was especially chosen and is something we would wear ourselves.

50% off ‘winding down my business’ sale now on! 🍹

I’ve always adored sourcing, styling, shooting & selling fabulous vintage and I’ve had so much fun doing it over the years, but sadly now I’m in the process of wrapping up Wasted Chic Boutique as a chapter.

Sourcing good stuff has become increasingly difficult and more costly, and traffic on Etsy has all but disappeared as people move to sites like Vinted.

I tried Vinted, but I felt the lack of curation devalued what I was trying to do, it’s not the place for carefully selected, nicely shot pieces that come with a price reflective of the work gone into putting the shop together- customers are savvy now and can probably find a similar jumper or dress on there for £4, and without the cost being a risk, careful listings and time consuming photography has become redundant!

I also haven’t managed doing lives and reels- video just ain’t my bag, baby! I’m currently spending more money on Etsy ads than I’m making, so I’ve decided to switch them off and reduce all my stock to eventually clear it out. I have some incredible pieces and I’m happy to make deals, especially for regular customers or other sellers wanting to buy in bulk.
