The 08 Sneaker by — made with 100% Tex2Tex™️ canvas. 👏

A cotton-look fabric crafted entirely from textile waste using our TMR™️ process — zero plastic bottles, just circularity and the lowest measured carbon emissions for recycled polyester on the market.

GANNI reimagines the ‘90s athletic silhouette with raw butterfly-shaped edges, frilled detail, and contrast laces, all through their unmistakable design lens. Named after Ditte Reffstrup’s childhood football number, it’s a tribute to play, legacy, and craft — handcrafted in Portugal.

We’re proud to partner with GANNI on their continued expansion of Tex2Tex™️ across yarn and fabric. 👟 ♻️

At Earth Protex™️, we measure every step of our process—from waste collection to baling new fiber—using our innovative TMR™️ (Thermo-Mechanical Reactor™️) recycling technology to produce our branded Tex2Tex™️ fiber. Our cradle-to-gate data, verified by Intertek, shows a substantial reduction in CO₂ emissions compared to bottle-based recycling methods.

Here’s how Tex2Tex™️ fiber performs:
✅ 34% lower emissions than bottle thermo-mechanical recycling
✅ 66% lower than bottle thermo-mechanical via pellets
✅ 76% lower than bottle chemical (BHET method)
✅ 80% lower than bottle chemical (DMT method)
✅ 84% lower than virgin PET

By focusing on holistic LCAs, companies can make more informed decisions about transitioning from fossil-based and linear recycled sources to true circular solutions that close the loop on textile waste.

Let’s lead the industry with data-driven impact. ♻️ 👕

Tired of interpreting sustainability data? The Tex2Tex™️ Impact Calculator is a tool to enable quick and concise calculations of how you can reduce your product impact using Tex2Tex™️ RPET. 📲

Tex2Tex™️ RPET is the lowest impact commercially available polyester fiber in the marketplace, enabling brands and manufacturers with science-based sustainability targets to leverage a next generation circular ingredient that is plug-and-play in countless applications to reduce their carbon footprint.

👉 How does it work?

The Tex2Tex™️ Impact Calculator is designed to be easy and intuitive to use. All you need to do is select your existing material composition, construction and quantity and it will calculate and quantify your raw material impact reduction!

❗Disclaimer:
*Results are only for fiber impact, and do not include value-added processing. Our own impacts are 3rd party verified. Our comparison data are based on extrapolations and our internal best guess comparisons based on available data.

👉 What are we really recycling — and how?

On Global Recycling Day, we’re encouraged to pause and reflect on the materials we use, the systems we rely on, and the value we place on waste. In the textile industry, recycling isn’t always straightforward — and it’s rarely one-size-fits-all.

Today, it’s worth asking: What am I wearing? What is it made of?
If it contains recycled polyester, the chances are it was made from plastic bottles — not textiles.

This raises a few important questions:
🔍 Are we solving one industry’s waste by leaning on another’s?
🔍 How was that material recycled — through energy-intensive chemical processes or through lower-impact solutions?

At Earth Protex™️, we don’t claim to have all the answers — but we do believe that tackling textile waste at its source must be part of the solution. That’s why we created Tex2Tex™️, a recycled polyester fiber made entirely from textile waste, not plastic bottles. Using our Thermo-Mechanical Reactor™️ (TMR™️) process, we recover discarded textiles and turn them back into fiber — with measured low impact and no chemical processing. 👕 ♻️

On a day like today, we’re reminded that transparency, integrity, and real impact matter. Recycling shouldn’t just be a label — it should be something we question, track, and improve together.
Let’s keep asking better questions. Let’s keep progressing — thoughtfully. 💚

🎉 Some big news — Tex2Tex™ by Earth Protex™ is officially through to the next round of the 2025 Earthshot Prize!

🤝 A huge thank you to PDS Limited and Riley Marchant for nominating us and backing the push for scalable, low-impact solutions in textile recycling.

Scaling measured low-impact solutions like Tex2Tex™ doesn’t happen in isolation. It takes industry confidence, real-world adoption, and a willingness to push for change. Seeing a global powerhouse like PDS Group recognize the need for textile-to-textile recycling at scale reinforces why we do what we do.

Tex2Tex™ is about taking responsibility for our own industry’s waste, moving Beyond Bottles™, and proving that better solutions exist today—not in some distant future. ♻️ 👕

A huge thank you to Riley and the team for believing in this mission, and best of luck to the other nominees driving real impact.

Change is happening—let’s keep pushing. 🚀
