enges mainstream fashion channels. Bodies become the designer' statement, a reaction against the lack of consciousness in the fashion industry of today. SELF-EXPRESSION IS THE HIGHEST REPRESENTATION OF ART.

The garment is never just a garment.

It’s a system. A grammar. A decision.
Ilaria Lepore’s Zip Sweater is built on the idea that the body isn’t something to dress — it’s something to construct. Components attach, detach, layer, dissolve. Each zip is a sentence you choose to finish or leave open. The whole emerges from its parts, and the parts return to the whole — modular dressing as an act of authorship.
This is the post-punk logic applied to fabric: deconstruction not as aesthetic, but as freedom.
