When your socks make it through not one, but TWO Caminos… 👣

We love hearing where our Moggans socks end up - and this review from one of our customers after completing her second Camino made our day.

Rain, long days on foot and mile after mile of walking put your kit to the test. Janice wore a combination of her Moggans socks from last year and a new pair of our Ultralight Speed ankle socks to keep her feet comfortable along the way.

Injuries. Unfortunately, they’re part of the journey for most of us at some point.

I’m dealing with one myself at the moment, and it’s been a good reminder that sometimes the best thing you can do is slow down, listen to your body and give it the time it needs to recover.

These days recovery matters more than ever. Good sleep, stretching, keeping moving where I can and trying to stay positive are all part of it. 👊

If you’re injured too, keep your chin up and don’t give up on whatever you’re working towards.

That race might happen later this year. It might be next year. The important thing is getting yourself back there.

Sometimes the mountain makes you wait.

For Moggans ambassador Julia Hamilton, reaching the summit of Makalu was a story of preparation, patience and knowing when to keep going.

At 8,485m, Makalu is the fifth-highest mountain in the world and widely regarded as one of the more technical 8,000m peaks.

After trekking to Everest Base Camp and summiting Island Peak as part of her acclimatisation, Julia headed for Makalu. But when the weather closed in, her first summit attempt was brought to an end and she returned to Kathmandu believing the expedition might be over.

Then the forecast changed.

Julia went back to Makalu and, on 20 May 2026 at 8:40am, reached the summit alongside Lakpa Sherpa and Dawa Tenjen Sherpa. 🙌

From frozen fingers and heavy legs to long days waiting at 5,700m for the right weather window, it’s a brilliant reminder that the biggest adventures aren’t always about pushing harder. Sometimes they’re about preparation, patience and respecting the mountain.

We’re incredibly proud to have Julia as part of the Moggans team - and proud that our Merino socks have earned a place in her kit for some of the world’s biggest mountains.
