They’re not babies anymore !🤱
Do you let your baby select their own attire ?

As parents, we have an important role in the development of our children’s sense of style. You can’t always control what you kid wears to school or a club, but there are ways to set their foundations for suiting their moods and modes of expression.💙

The simple act of letting them select their own attire may give a youngster a sense of control over their lives. This will eventually help them gain confidence and establish their own sense of style!

🩳👕So it’s vital to give your youngster alternatives. This involves introducing them to a wide range of fashion items, color schemes, designs, patterns, and fads for children. Rearrange things and provide more diversity so they can decide which they prefer. Additionally, choose clothing trends and garments that they’re most comfortable in, and explore styles and colors that they were afraid to try out.👕

We understand that your baby is at a very important stage of development. This means that they are constantly changing and learning new things.

If your little one is upset and calms down when you engage with them, they may have been in need of something new. If they get fussier, this might be an indication that their brain is receiving more information than it can process💡

:💫 Other signs of overstimulation include repeatedly turning their head away from you, arching their back, not tolerating being put down, and refusing to nurse or take a bottle.

🏀 Here are some easy ways you can offer your baby more stimulation :

🎶 Talk or sing to them, face-to-face.

Hold them, face forward, and talk to them as you walk around the house. Show them how things work. Turn the light switches and water faucet on and off. Open and close cupboards and doors.💓

You can tap two spoons together, or rap on a window. Make new sounds in their line of sight.👂

Should I ignore my toddler during a tantrum?

Mommy, I’m going to tantrum. 😡
Does your toddler ever come up with the most adorable ways to let you know he/she’s angry ?

Your toddler is a growing human with emotions , big and small. It’s important to stay connected with them when they are upset or having a tantrum so that they can learn how to regulate their emotions in the future.❤️

To ignore your toddler's tantrum behavior, you must stay present physically and emotionally while disregarding any writhing, whining, huffing or other safe tantrum-related conduct that your child is engaging in. This way, if their behavior becomes unsafe and can't be ignored, you can try a strategy called "connection, then correction."

✨This involves briefly connecting with your child before taking steps to correct their behavior. You might put a hand over theirs and calmly say, for example, “I can see that you’re upset. Hitting is not okay.”

Don’t let a tantrum derail your day. Always have a plan in place to deal with the situation, even if it takes time.

We wish you a day full of happiness.❤️

Setting and maintaining consistent limits is often easier said than done. Toddlers learn through repetition. They may not be able to control their impulses on the first—or fifth!—try. When things get tough, distraction and redirection can be invaluable tools 🙌

Here’s how you can redirect your toddler to help them regulate their emotions and behaviors :

👉If your tot is having a meltdown, try turning off the TV or putting on a favorite show. Then give your child an activity to focus on—such as playing with an activity toy or putting on their favorite pair of shoes 🙌

👉If they love making shapes out of crayons and you’re having a coloring party, have the child color pictures on paper while the rest of you are coloring in pencils. 💡

👉You can also offer your toddler a choice between two activities. You could say, “Would you like to read a book with me or have a snack?” 📚🍎 This gives them a sense of control over the situation.

👉If your toddler continues to do something after you’ve asked them to stop, stay positive. Try sitting down with one of their favorite nearby playthings and starting to play. If you focus on it with enthusiasm, there’s a decent chance that your child will forget what they were doing and want to join you.

Redirection works particularly well when the alternate activity offers your child the same kind of satisfaction that the off-limits behavior did 🧠 For example, if your toddler keeps pouring water over the side of the bathtub despite your direction not to, try showing them a place where they can pour water, like into a small, plastic basin that floats in the bath with them.

💗 A reminder:Toddlers can be really stubborn, but it’s important to remember that they are young and still learning how to control their behaviors.

You can’t control the actions of your child, but you can control how you react to her actions.

Have you been thinking about venturing outdoors with your baby?

Because your baby is still so little, you can take her on walks in a stroller. You can even try walking with her facing forward as you stroll around the block. Be sure to tell him about what he sees—turning and looking at each interesting scene as you go!🧠 📷 💙

These new exposures and experiences build new connections in your baby’s brain. 🧠

What do you do when your child has a hard time calming down? Hug it out, of course! But if they don't want your comforting embrace !

Don’t worry, we’re not going to make you give up your hugs just yet. But there are things you can do now to help your toddler develop some better coping skills so they don’t need a cuddle after all.

👉Don't take it personally when your toddler is not interested in hugging you. It's just a phase 👩👧If they're extremely upset, they're in no position to listen. All they need is to know that you're nearby.

👉Don’t push or force it. Give them some space, and try a different approach like offering a toy or reading to them.

❤️If your toddler is crying or upset, you might want to try the simple strategy of staying calm and reassuring them that it’s all right.

🫂Let them know that you’re there for them, even if they can't look at you.

✨Time to get serious about baby-talking.

Interaction is key to helping your children learn languages and develop their social skills. Allow your baby to practice social skills by engaging in face-to-face play.
Face-to-face time gives your child a closer view of your facial expressions and mouth movements, so they can mimic you.

👉Here are some tips for fostering your baby’s language skills:

🧡Make faces, talk and sing with your little one.

🧡 Respond to their attempts to communicate. When you’re talking to them, pause and give them a chance to respond.

🧡 During storytime, position them facing you. You can prop them up on your bent legs or a pillow or place them in the corner of a couch.

🧡 Get on their level. Kneeling, squatting, or lifting them up to meet your eyes encourages their attempts to form words.

Setting limits is an important part of parenting. Kids who know what's expected of them can be more focused if they know they can't get away with certain behaviors. Though you might feel guilty about it at first.❤️

When your child tests a limit, it’s very easy to simply say, “no.” However, studies show that a young child may not have sufficient language skills for the use of the word “no” to be a consistent tool for managing their behavior.🖌️

These tips will help you set healthy boundaries so your child can thrive:

🏀 Set clear, consistent rules for your family to ensure everybody’s safety and security. Remember that the more you explain and the more you enforce, the better your kids will understand and respond to them.

🏀 For instance "Don’t throw your toys" is as effective as a rulebook. Frame it as "Toys are to be played with and cared for."

🏀 Give them positive, sensitive explanations for the limits you set. While they may not always understand everything you say, providing age-appropriate reasons for why certain behaviors are preferred or not allowed can increase the likelihood of your child following your rules.

🏀 Set, maintain, and follow through on limits consistently.

💗 A reminder: Keep a hand on your baby when they’re on a changing table, bed, or any other surface from which they could fall. Babies as young as a few weeks old have been known to spontaneously roll over.

💗Tag a friend who needs to see this ?

Babies are put on their back to sleep because they have a natural tendency to breathe better when lying on their backs. But, as your baby gets older, it’s important to teach them how to roll over on their own and move from their tummy to their back.

👉Once your baby is rolling from their back to their belly and from their belly to their back on their own, AAP guidelines say you don’t have to return them to their back if they flip over during the night. If your baby is still learning to roll both ways and gets stuck on their tummy, however, you will need to help them return to their back.

👉 To encourage this, try getting your baby’s attention by shaking the Rolling Bell and slowly moving it so they have to look over their shoulder to follow it with their eyes. The more quickly your little one becomes adept at rolling both ways, the sooner you can rest easy.

Did you know that in the United States, 33% of diapers are thrown away? That’s a lot of waste! Reusable cloth diapers allow you to save your money and reduce the amount of waste that goes into landfills.🗑️
👉When it comes to determining what works best for your family 👨👩👦👦, factors to consider include ease of use, environmental impact, and cost. You can always change your mind. Here’s a look at the facts:

Three pros of reusable cloth diapers:

🌀 You can reuse cloth diapers for a future baby.

🌀 Even when you factor in the cost of the detergent, water, and electricity needed to wash them, cloth diapers should end up being significantly less expensive than disposables.

🌀 Most estimates of the number of disposable diapers a baby uses in their first year of life range from 2,500 to 3,000, which makes for a lot of garbage. So cloth options are much better for the environment.

Research shows that incorporating math concepts early can have a positive impact on a child’s math skills later on.🔢 One way to teach your child the fundamentals is to use manipulatives.

Counting aloud for your toddler throughout your day helps them understand that there are number words for different quantities. For example, you might say, “I’m giving you five crackers—one, two, three, four, five,” or count how many buttons are on your shirt.

At around age 3 or 4, your child may understand that one figure goes with the numeral one, and two figures can be counted, “one, two.” Until your little one grasps the idea of one-to-one correspondence, you can use words like, “more,” “less,” “most,” “least,” “first,” and “last,” to build their math vocabulary. 🧠

Count with your toddler as often as possible in order to foster their early math skills.
