The Heron shirt in burnt orange is back! These sold like hot cakes last year (yes, despite being burnt) so we’ve done them again. We have a handful at Insiders HQ and they’re also available along with some other new summer styles. All small runs so get them while you can!

Our space dye fabric (basically an intentionally uneven check pattern - nothing to do with NASA) modelled by Felix in the Hipp shirt. This a light, 100% cotton garment that works equally well over a tee in the garden as it does as a house shirt or sleepwear.

Woven in 100% cotton, our ikat is produced using a traditional dyeing technique. The yarns are bound by hand to create the pattern and then dyed. This process results in a natural variation throughout the fabric, meaning every garment is unique.

Our mix for January is packed with crate-digging classics, not least one of our very favourite finds, the self-titled and only album by Appaloosa (1969). A masterpiece of baroque pop, the album shares its DNA with Love’s Forever Changes - certainly in its blend of folk, classical and psychedelia, if not in its lyrics, which lack the fear and loathing of Arthur Lee.

Despite Appaloosa releasing only one album, the band’s chief protagonists, John Compton and Robin Batteau, did go on to record some other notable LPs. But that’s for another time… For now, we hope you enjoy a playlist named after the phrase, usually attributed to Gram Parsons, used to describe the melting pot of musical styles inherent in post-Byrds American rock. Speaking of which, another great, David Crosby, departed last week - RIP (notorious Byrd) brother…
