In 2019 having found a lump in her right breast she was diagnosed with breast cancer aged 78. The surgeon told her after 8 gruelling bouts of Chemo she would lose her long blonde hair( her trademark) her eyelash's and parts of her nails and she did but bought ""2 super wigs"" she had half her b**b removed in 2020 the 6 blasts of radiotherapy and still put on 2 charity events where she stood selling for 9 hrs in the Blind Beggars pub"" but I needed to raise money for 3 charities so just put on my make up put on my wig and got on with it"""" now at 81 and still on medication daily she is getting ready for an event in Oct.""We must be positive then we will Sparkle "" she says.
