We are all heartbroken and angry at what happened this week at Grenfell Towers and our hearts go out to all the residents that are affected and our sympathy goes out to those who have lost loved ones. Due to our 10 year legal dispute with the owners of the Ballon D'Or, we had to close our shop and we had a lot of stock in our shed. We know the residents at Grenfell have been left with nothing, so we decided to donate, as much as could fit in our car, to try and help a little. We went to West Way Sports Centre and it was so moving to see a community pull together like this. Everybody was there to help, donating in vans, cars and people walking with bags and boxes trying to help. I have the utmost respect for Londoners and hope the residents of Grenfell Towers are really looked after as they will need to be for many years. I met some of the lovely Ladies helping out, you can see them holding our I Love GB T-shirts and for me, that slogan means even more now.
The smell of the smoke from the fire was so strong and I felt so sad and couldn't even speak properly, my voice just went. I didn't realise Gus had taken a photo when I saw the Tower Block, the expression on my face says it all.
Luckily we had Golden Balls tees, boxers, jeans, shorts, track tops, dresses, jackets and vests and hope it helps a bit.
I hope the residents of Grenfell Tower get their voices heard and our rehoused in this beautiful community.
I spent a lot of time in that area as a Teen and it is such a lovely, happy place to live and there are all races and religions who live together in harmony and I hope this continues. I hope the people responsible for this are held to account and we just don't hear again, 'lessons will be learned'. Our utmost respect goes out to the firefighters and emergency services for always being there.
We are thinking of everyone from Grenfell Tower and send our love and prayers to all of you.
