One question I get asked a lot is, “Why does it take 12 weeks?”

And I understand why people ask. We live in a world where we’ve become used to getting almost everything quickly.

But when I look at how our garments are actually made, at the people behind them and the amount of work that goes into every piece, I wouldn’t want to rush it.

A lot of what we do is still made by hand.

There are real people behind every piece. Cutting, stitching, embroidering, finishing. And that takes time.

Could some of it be done faster by a machine? Of course.

But that’s not what we want.

We don’t want every stitch to look identical. We don’t want everything to feel like it came off a production line. There’s something special about knowing that someone actually sat there and worked on your garment with their hands.

We’ve become so used to wanting everything quickly that sometimes we forget what goes into making something properly.

Some things should take time.

And for us, in a world where almost everything can now be automated, something genuinely made by human hands is a luxury worth holding on to.

When I look back, I realise it was never just the good moments that got me here.

It was the days nothing worked. The mistakes I had to learn from myself. The pressure of knowing that if I didn’t figure it out, nobody else would.

There were plenty of moments when giving up would have been easier. But you wake up the next morning and go again.

Over time, that changes you.

You become more patient. More disciplined. You stop fearing failure because you’ve already experienced it enough times to know you’ll find a way through.

I’m still building. Still learning. Still nowhere near where I want to be.

But I know one thing.

The journey of building something from the ground up has made me who I am today. And for that alone, I’ll always be grateful.🥹
