Our leather is now available to pre-order online. 💥

These are styles whose quality and beauty have been proven in designs from accessories to furniture.

Why pre-order? We keep very little inventory of finished styles because we believe leather should be produced with intention, not excess. By taking pre-orders, we can produce only what is needed while making our leather accessible without any minimum order requirements.

Orders are secured with deposits — but the window to order will be limited: it will close when the batch is full.

Swatch books with all six styles are also now available in our online store.

Whether you’re a designer, maker or brand looking for materials with provenance, this is an opportunity to be part of our vision for leather.

This brilliant jacket was made by as part of the Costume Craft Programme with The King’s Foundation and Amazon MGM Studios in response to a script of My Lady Jane, using a tumbled, oiled, and polished style of British Pasture Leather.

George created this after participating in the programme’s leatherwork masterclass, saying “British Pasture Leather’s seminar inspired me to experiment with a new form of sewing with a more sustainable foundation.”

We love its shape and the gorgeous tooling. 👏🏻 Bravo to George, and to
for advancing the union of craft, heritage skills and sustainability.

The final stage of leather production is where it all comes together: Finishing (or in industry speak, “currying”) transforms our leather from a state that’s akin to thick cardboard into a myriad of finished styles, ranging from firm and smooth to buttery and soft.

We choose to highlight and celebrate the natural character of the material by not manipulating or masking it. Our recent collaboration with Mulberry underscores this approach, embracing a leather that was finished simply with oil and a polish. With use, it will burnish and develop, becoming ever more individual.

The success of that is thanks to Greg Miller of Blenkinsop Leathers, our partner from our start (and now our kind neighbor!) who helps us develop, improve, and evolve our finished results in an ongoing collaboration that is crucial to our process.

Mulberry made with British Pasture Leather. It didn’t happen overnight, nor should it have.

Progress takes time.

Long before designs were chosen, before ideas were defined for the colour, finish and softness of the leather, the Mulberry team joined us in the field — the place where our material begins.

So we thought it best to express our thanks by recalling those moments: the finding dung beetles and worms, with shovel in the soil and grass held aloft, and the pastures and wisdom of in abundance, our inspiring friends and Field Day speakers.

Our mission is best expressed on these Field Days, when we explore the connections between landscapes, ecosystems, food and fibre. It is the passion, expertise and influence of these brilliant speakers that help us demonstrate the vision we have for British Pasture Leather. And where ideas and challenges are shared over delicious food.

We close this exciting week by giving our thanks to the sustainability, marketing, design, production and communications teams who have championed and supported the work of British Pasture Leather and

Today on World Leather Day we are celebrating our newly released collaboration with Mulberry, and our shared vision to recognise the places and people behind each leather product:

💪🏻 The farmers raising pasture-fed animals with a regenerative approach that stewards land and restores ecosystems,

🙌🏻 The skilled tanners and finishers that transform hides into durable, beautiful, long-lasting leather material, and

👌🏻The craftspeople who create each finished Mulberry bag, which will become even more individual and special over time with wear, care and love.

Together with Mulberry, we are showing how leather can positively impact people and planet through regenerative farming, localised sourcing and an appreciation for leather as a material defined by nature, craftsmanship and longevity.
