Every man has colours that make him look better.
And every man has colours that terribly work against him. The difficult part is knowing which is which.

Most people only realise a colour is wrong when it looks obviously bad. But the real problem is often more subtle. A colour can almost work, but still make your face look flat. It can match your clothes, but not your complexion. It can be tasteful, but still do nothing for you.

At Akeilā Artisan Tailors London, we take a different approach. We analyse your natural colouring and create a personal colour profile, so every colour choice becomes more intentional.

This is for men who want to look more attractive, without looking like they are trying to be fashionable.

A man does not need louder clothes to be noticed.
He needs better colours. The wrong colours compete with your face. They pull attention away from your eyes, weaken your features and make your clothing the main event.

But your clothing should never be the main event.
You should be.

Our colour analysis helps you understand which colours complement your natural appearance, so your wardrobe becomes more precise, more useful and more attractive.

Most men choose colours because they “look nice.” But this is not enough. The colour you wear near your face changes how people see you. It can make you look tired, pale, dull or older. But it can also make your skin look more alive, your eyes more present and your face more attractive. This is why we do colour analysis.

At Akeilā, we build you a personal colour profile based on your natural skin, eye and hair colour. So when you buy shirts, jackets, knitwear or suits, you are no longer guessing. You know what works.

You are looking at the body canvas of an Akeilā jacket.

The theme of this jacket is “Autumn Leaves”. It’s part of a large wardrobe collection that we are making for one of our most passionate clients.

The theme is seen through every component of the jacket. Even the pocket bags are scented, and release a subtle scent of autumn leaves when the hands rub against them. We developed the scent specifically for this theme.

When we asked our client what he likes about autumn, he gave us the answer we were hoping for: “I love the smell of dry leaves” 🍂

The padding stitches are inspired by a windstorm. Leaves are pushed and pulled by the mighty hands of the sky. An echoing whistle squeezes itself through the windows. Thunder and rain meet again.

This beautiful work is done by ,our full-time coat-making apprentice. I want all our canvases to be signed by the maker. Because I believe they are artists. Their work goes beyond just “making”. This is not routine work. It’s always an exploration. And artists explore.

We believe that a garment must enhance your everyday experiences. In this case for our client, autumn will be seen and felt through a different perspective, intensified by the details of this jacket.

We are not that keen on making bespoke suits as a commodity. We want to make meaningful garments for a meaningful life. That is where we can connect best with our clients.

“Akeilā delivers the rare combo of fit, style and make. Most tailors are only good at one or two. Even the sketch folder I received to choose my cloth and model was a gift in itself!” –Justin M.

The magic of bespoke tailoring lies in true personalisation. But most “personalised” suits only scratch the surface; think embroidered initials or a special date. While these details add a personal touch, they don’t tap into the full potential of personalisation.

At Akeilā we start with themes that inspire you; people, places, memories, or anything meaningful to you. Using these ideas, we create storyboards for you to choose from. Once you select a theme, every fabric, design, and style choice reflects elements of it.

By discussing your theme throughout the process, it becomes a natural part of your experience. Every time you wear your suit, you’re reminded of that theme, reinforcing the mood and feeling you associate with it.

Our clients love this creative process; it’s playful, intuitive, and deeply personal.

Easy Communication When Fitting Your Suit – Our fitting process can be compared to Reductive Sculpting, a method of sculpting that reduces the material to its final shape.

Similarly, we begin with a fit that is larger than your final suit. This allows you to understand the changes we are making as we pin away excess fabric. It makes it easier for you to have input.
