Drake & The Weeknd’s AI Song No Longer Grammy Eligible

Drake has long made it known that he's not exactly a fan of the Grammy Awards. He didn't speak out on social media after the organization's latest decision. Still, we wouldn't be surprised if the 36-year-old had an averse reaction to finding out that an AI-generated song by him and fellow Canadian The Weeknd was deemed eligible to be nominated at the annual event. Many music lovers made it clear that they weren't on board with this update. Late on Thursday (September 7), Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. shared a video providing some clarity to the community.

"Let me be extra clear. Even though it was written by a human creator, the vocals were not legally obtained. The vocals were not cleared by the label or the artist, and the song is not commercially available," his message noted. "And because of that, it's not eligible," the industry executive added afterward. Due to the rapidly changing nature of the times we live in, Mason Jr. did state that things could shift in the future regarding AI-eligibility.

"I take this stuff very seriously. It’s all complicated and it’s moving really quickly. I’m sure things are going to continue to have to evolve and change. But please, do not be confused. The Academy is here to support and advocate and protect and represent human artists and human creators. Period," the CEO assured his followers, who have been reacting positively to the news so far.

Now that we finally have a release date for Drake's For All The Dogs album, the father of one has begun hinting at who we'll hear featured on the project. A reunion with Nicki Minaj has already been officially confirmed, and according to his latest Instagram post, we may hear from Central Cee too. Drake Gives Fan $50K After They Reveal They Spent Their Furniture Money On His Show

Drake's currently making his way around the U.S and Canada on his "It's All A Blur" tour alongside 21 Savage. The tour has been making headlines for celebrity guests, updates on new music, and of course, fan antics. Recently, Drizzy took the stage at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, and rewarded one attendee who really gave their all to be there.

In a new clip from the show, Drake calls attention to an audience member holding a sign. The sign reads, "Drake, I spent my furniture money on your two shows." After reading it aloud, he announces that he'll be giving the fan a huge gift in return for their dedication. "You know what my man, your furniture money? I'm gonna give you 50 bands," he told them. As expected, the crowd went wild. The Canada-born performer went on to give a motivational message to his fans, explaining why we should treat others with kindness.

"Hey, listen," he began. "This is what life is about. I'm trying to teach you something now. I want you to understand something tonight. You never know what the next person is going through. You never know what the person in front of you, to the left of you, to the right of you, behind you, is going through."

This was far from the first time Drake was feeling generous while on tour. During his first "It's All A Blur" tour stop in Vegas last week, he surprised another lucky fan with a luxury gift. While onstage he scanned the crowd holding a lime Chanel bag, and eventually handed it over to a woman in the front row. It's clear that she appreciated his act of kindness. Travis Scott Announces “Circus Maximus” Tour Dates

Travis Scott will be hitting the road this fall in support of Utopia. The rapper announced the Circus Maximus tour on Tuesday night, around the time he joined Drake on stage in Vancouver. The Houston rapper’s upcoming tour will solely include North American dates, for now. The tour flyer does state that it’s the “first leg,” indicating that he’ll undoubtedly be adding additional dates in the coming weeks. Perhaps, we could expect more dates in North America, along with international shows.

The upcoming tour runs from October 11th to December 29th, starting in Charlotte, North Carolina. He’ll also be touching down in cities such as Raleigh, Dallas, Kansas City, Denver, and more. Although he hasn’t announced a show in his hometown yet, Travis Scott will be touching down at a number of major cities such as New York City, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Miami, Chicago, and Detroit. Finally, he’ll conclude the first leg of the Cirus Maximus tour in Toronto on Dec. 29th, which seems to indicate that Drake might join him on stage.

The tickets for the Circus Maximus tour will officially be on sale this Thursday at 10 a.m. local time. Travis already gave fans a sneak peak of what to expect from his upcoming tour. Although he didn’t get the opportunity to perform at the Pyramid of Giza in Egypt as previously planned, he delivered a stellar show in Rome. As we’ve seen in the past, Travis always emphasizes the quality of his performance so there’s no doubt that he’ll be going all out on his upcoming tour.

Interestingly enough, the tour dates seemingly confirm the rumors that Travis Scott will be replacing 21 Savage on the Canadian dates of Drake’s It’s All A Blur tour. Last night, Travis Scott joined Drake on stage in Vancouver and will presumably be joining him again for the second show tonight (Aug. 30). The final Canadian dates will be in Toronto on October 6th and 7th, a few days before Travis kicks off his own tour. So it seems likely he’ll be making an appearance in the 6ix, too. Travis Scott Lends His Voice To Incredible Jalen Hurts Jordan Brand Commercial

Travis Scott is having a triumphant time right now. Just a few weeks ago, he released his fourth studio album, Utopia. Overall, this was a huge album for him that is seeing some massive sales. Although the reviews from professional critics have been mixed, Scott is still seeing a lot of success. His fans are happy with the album, and in his eyes, that is probably all that matters. Moreover, he is breaking records with vinyl record sales, which is very impressive. It just goes to show that he is having a huge moment and is looking to ride that momentum.

As many of you already know, Travis Scott is currently in a deal with Jordan Brand. Jumpman is constantly signing new athletes and just yesterday, they announced that Jalen Hurts was joining the company. Hurts has been incredible for the Philadelphia Eagles which makes his signing a great move for both sides. Moreover, Jordan Brand decided to release a commercial yesterday that showcases Hurts’ work ethic. It just so happens this commercial was narrated by Travis.

As you can see in the video above, Travis Scott speaks on Jalen Hurts and the way he has carried himself throughout his journey. Additionally, the video is filled with clips of Hurts working out and showcasing his process. Overall, it is a video that is made to hype you up. If you are an Eagles fan, you are probably very excited by this. The team made the Super Bowl last year, and they are primed to do that again this year.

Moving forward, it will be interesting to see if Hurts gets his own shoe. Although if one thing is for certain, he will be getting some amazing cleats.
