English translation of the Grazia interview: Desirée Barroso was born in the heart of the Spanish footwear manufacture in Alicante. After studying footwear design at the National Spanish Footwear Institute, she moved to London and started as a footwear designer in an atelier. This was 8 years ago and she has stayed since "because here in London the creative scene is much more valued than in Spain. If you can distinguish yourself, you will be able to get further, even if competition is harsh". A year later in the British capital and Desirée got pregnant. "This is when I decided to leave my employment and instead launch my own shoe label". She is 38 years now and her three children form the centrepiece of her daily life. "I am working from home, utilizing the time between school runs and cooking for my children. During the day I am sketching up my ideas and at night I make them come true". Osman and Emilio de la Morena have chosen her shoes several times for the catwalk at the London Fashion Week.
