You might have noticed I haven't been very present on social media in the past couple of years.
The main reason is that the hubby&I have finally bought a house!!! & that we are entirely renovating DIY style, so apart from a full time Mon-Fri job, most weekends we are dedicated to this new amazing project💪

But I had the opportunity of working on a few fun commissions, collaborating with creative people to make some magic ✨

The long standing political situation of the world has made me feel pretty sad and pretending everything was fine through social media was also not on the table.

For 2026 I aim to be a bit better at showcasing my work, taking pride in my creation 😉

One from the , my first ever made baseball cap, a commission for a
The brief was to create a baseball cap, with stripes that reminded of a circus tent🎪 that could be used to grow grass, as part of the clowning performance.
Not an easy challenge, considering hats don't like water!!

For this hat I created two layers:
-a skullcap that fitted the head of the client, covered in plastic, with plastic pockets where you could put a little sack with soil and seeds,just like a potato head.( See last pic)
-the top layer was the oversized baseball cap, made in a plastic parisisal with aluminium oversized eyelets, to allow the grass to grow out of the hat.
The two layers were joined by poppers, so that the skullcap could be removed and the grass growing media replaced to grow new grass.
The final step was to hand paint the hat and lacquer it.
I wish I took a picture of the finished hat, but apparently, I did not 🙈

Oversized purple Top Hats for 90th anniversary
Last year I had the opportunity to make this commission for
12 top hats to celebrate Lego 90th anniversary, to be worn across many locations around the world by the "master players" .
With a short time to make them, for the first time I had a little team of my own, 💖
&
It was very exciting to learn to coordinate a team and ensure that the pieces were made with the same techniques and finish.

From our collection Guapa Loca, inspired by Mexican iconography.
I created the wings by manipulating the metal with the same technique used in Mexican tinwork & I decided to make the heart in the same way you would make a hat, by creating a blocked base then covered with shaped fabric.
I loved challenging myself to put all the different pieces together.
