d tailors who are experts at their craft, each piece of clothing is hand finished with great attention to detail including hand sewn vintage buttons , buckles and trimmings. Our garments have featured in Broadway musicals, Hollywood films and several British period dramas. Creator of Some Like it Holy, Malou Mella, ran the successful (and infamous) vintage clothing store on Portobello Road called The Merchant Of Europe. The store was visited by designers and pop stars such as Jean Paul Gaultier, Kate Moss, Lenny Kravitz, Bjork, Suede , Kylie Minogue, Galliano, to name but a few. Featured in Vogue, Elle, Harpers and Queens, Time Out, The Sunday Times and many other publications, the "Merchant's" reputation grew and Malou was soon providing outfits for the BBC, film and theatre productions. Private collectors would come to hunt for original designer pieces such as Dior, Pucci, Gucci, Ossie Clark in anticipation of what might be discovered on the heaving rails of her "buzzing" store. Following on from this success, Malou progressed to designing and making garments. This in turn led her to travel the world in search of new and innovative ideas for her own brand of clothing.
