The founder of Cherchez la Femme originally designed for a number of fast fashion high street companies both in London & New York. Creating collections for a myriad of large companies including Top Shop, Wallis, and Miss Selfridge. Before she understood the detrimental impact of fast fashion on people and the planet. On her return back from New York she designed swimwear collections for the exclusive high-end British heritage brand Liberty. Also working as a consultant to Marks & Spencer and was invited to design the first swimwear collection for the iconic brand 'Biba' for House of Fraser. She discovered the negative impact of fast fashion when studying for a Master degree in sustainable fashion at the London College of Fashion. During lockdown she made the decision it was time to start a business doing things differently. Luckily, the antidote is simple: ethical, sustainable fashion. We believe in slow fashion, quick production, and unrivalled craftsmanship. We only make on-demand product design (This means we only make once you have ordered, stopping the amount of clothing going to landfill). 💚😁🌍
This is why at the heart of our DNA we work with UK manufacturers, and all our products are ethically handmade with sustainable resources. We're pioneers in ethical, expert in design, and make on-demand product design
