SS27 - THE UMBRA

The PMO Research Unit convened under the assumption that light could be controlled and managed. Early observations suggested otherwise. The Umbra follows Purple Mountain Observatory’s journey towards the 2027 Eclipse.

The collection introduces lightweight silhouettes engineered for movement and protection. With a streamlined focus on specific outdoor disciplines, the capsule explores a new boundary within performance clothing.

Introducing the Anvil Shell

This jacket has become a favourite here at the PMO studio, especially in this weather. Built as a technical shell with an advanced 3L performance fabric, it comes in a lightweight package without the compromise.

Finished with all the works, this jacket is the go-to layer for when you’re not sure what the day will bring.

FIRST CAMP | NATURAL TIE-DYE WORKSHOP IN COLLABORATION WITH MAG

Last month, we headed up to the Llŷn Peninsula to join the .store crew at First Camp.

Over the weekend, we hosted a natural tie-dye workshop alongside the Peak Mag team, exploring natural dyes, using the PMO x First Camp exclusive tote bags.

Thanks to everyone who joined us through rain and sun, and a huge thank you to .store for hosting a brilliant weekend.

Till next time

PMO HIKE FOUR

We’re teaming up with .ground for a weekend of camping and hiking in the Lake District, taking on the Scafell Pike summit via the Corridor Route and Piers Gill. We’re also teaming up with to put some PMO and Osprey kit to the test.

🗓 Friday 5th June — Saturday 6th June

Due to the nature of the route and limited group capacity, sign-ups will be reviewed before places are confirmed. We’ll be contacting those selected directly with final details.

This route is intended for experienced hikers who are comfortable with scrambling and exposure. The terrain is challenging throughout, featuring steep ascents, sustained scrambling sections, and significant drops in places, widely considered one of the toughest and more exposed routes in the Lake District.

A meeting point for climbers, Val di Mello has drawn the community for years, those seeking to overcome its granite lines and share the experience along the way.

A landscape where community has always been part of the climb.
