Romário was one of the most talented players of his generation. But he also loved to party.
During his time at Barcelona, he asked manager Johan Cruyff if he could return to Brazil for the legendary Rio Carnival. Cruyff set him a challenge, if he scored two goals in the next match and he could go.
The opponent? Real Madrid.
On 9 January 1994, Romário delivered in style with two goals inside 20 minutes. He finished the match with a hat-trick and an assist… then boarded a plane to Rio soon after. 🇧🇷🎉
