Possibly the Holy Grail of propaganda scarves. This is London Wall the most recognisable of all the Jacqmar range. Designed in 1942 by Arnold Lever for Jacqmar it featured in a 1942 Vogue article ‘Propaganda Prints’

A superb example of a Cantonese hand embroidered shawl. Differing from the usual birds and insects designs this example has a more English Country Garden vibe with forget-me-nots, roses, daffodils, & ferns all vying for attention. The fringe is in perfect condition.

A rather fabulous raspberry pink 1920s dress. The base is a cotton net with copious sequins & bugle beads in toning silver/pinks hues. The original under slip is in silk lamé.

Possibly the most densely embroidered early 20c shawl. Apart from the the flora and foliage there are numerous animal representations of fans, vases, kettles, & amphorae. The condition is excellent with no weaknesses or tangles.

Known worldwide for their lightness and individuality this UNST Shawl is a pristine example of its kind. These shawls were made on the Scottish island of UNST since time immemorial. This example is from the 1900s and is in exception condition. These shaws were made with hand me down patterns passed from mother to daughter and have remained within families for generations. A striking 1920s evening dress in coffee chiffon with impressive bead work including pearls & bugle beads, the bottom half of the dress features thousands of strings of seed pearls. The dress is strong and in excellent condition with no bead loss or weakness.

A pair of smart 1970s designer suitcases by Fendi & Gucci. The Fendi is in striped brown/tan canvas with a chestnut brown leather trim & handles, the Gucci is cream monogrammed ‘Gucci’ fabric with cream vellum leather trim & handles, gold plated locks make this a stylish period piece.
