I’m delighted to be taking part in an exciting pop-up next month in west London with the wonderful team.

I’m wondering what items to bring along, but I think this is the perfect occasion for a selection of my favourite square silk scarves from the archive. Nice big patterns with a bit of a retro vibe. What do you think?

Sat 13 June at

Slightly different set up from usual, with a mix of contemporary makers and C20 Midcentury and Modern dealers side by side. Hoping I can find time to have a browse myself!

Mark it in your diaries. More details to follow…

In another life I think I’d like to have been the button designer in the Schiaparelli studio. Perhaps a little niche, but boy what an interesting job!

Here’s a few snaps from my visit to the Schiaparelli exhibition yesterday currently running at

Prolific in the 1930-50’s Italian designer Elsa Schiaparelli really went to town with combining surrealist art with fashion. She dressed the world’s highest society who called on her statement pieces, becoming known for her elegant cuts, elaborate embroidery and out there accessories. Even the smallest details like a button or a zip (and let’s not forget those pockets) became a big theme of an outfit. With friends like Dali and Man Ray, how could you not have some fun!

There were so many special pieces here, from embroidery samples, rare set screens, ring-a-round telephone make-up compacts, and invoices to some of her most devoted patrons. It always amazes me how many precious moments of a brand are saved.

I really enjoyed the curation, and it was wonderful to see how her iconic style continues to influence the brand as it is today. A stunning exhibition, with a set design to match 👌

Recharging my fashion game after a week in studio workwear 💋

I’m ready for the weekend, and very excited to be seeing the Schiaparelli exhibit at this Saturday.

Hope you all have a great one. It’s still pretty chilly here in the UK, so perfect for a gorgeous big scarf!

Enjoying what has become my highlight of at the PV last night.

Another brilliant show from FI founder and dear friend, Louisa Safe to say, she did it again! Congratulations🥂 Really interesting pieces, with such a wide selection of work across loads of craft disciplines. Hope there are lots of sales and connections for everyone.

Always fantastic to catch up with the creative crowd, and great to meet several makers that I see regularly on screen from my business group.

I didn’t take many photos as the room was packed, so highly recommend popping down if you can. Otherwise head over to to have a look at all the makers in show.

The best way you can feel confident in your scarf is by teaming it with honest materials and simple styling.

Keeping to a limited palette makes a much bigger statement when choosing clean, geometric prints. I loved styling this scarf in various ways, but for me, it’s with dark denim or black trousers. I’m envious of anyone brave enough to wear anything even close to white in London!

A beautiful shot of our Barbican silk scarf for the new archive section in my online shop.

I create my products to be timeless, and very early on moved away from trends and seasonal collections, giving time for each piece to find its way.

Some designs are just too good to retire, so I have created an area in the shop where you can find a few remaining pieces of some of my favourite scarves at a special price point.

For now it focuses on scarves, and includes this architecturally inspired ‘Barbican’ vaulted geometric print on a soft crepe de chine.

New shapes in the skyline. A few snaps from Saturday’s visit to the recently opened

I’ve watched it go up, so it’s great to finally get up-close to the distinctive “folded” concrete facade. I must say this building almost looks cute next to its mammoth neighbour, London College of Fashion.

Inside it was nice to see the diverse collection of pieces in the ‘Why We Make’ collection. I’ve yet to see the special exhibit, but I enjoyed the focus on sustainable initiatives and materiality, including reusing, repurposing and revisioning fibres. It’s a very interesting curation of pieces, spanning bygone centuries to modern day and what’s to come. Reimagining traditions, and highlighting the innovations of artist and designers within their practices.

I’m loving this new cultural quarter on my doorstep, and it’s nice to be able to dip in and soak up the stunning views from the terrace too!

Who wants to join me in the café on a quieter day?

Needless to say, my photos are mostly of concrete, fabric and pattern..
