Dear followers,
you’ve probably noticed we’ve barely been posting to Instagram...
I’ve recently had the pleasure of experiencing what a social media free life feels like & it’s INCREDIBLE.
Instagram along with FB and Google are amazing tools, don’t get me wrong, but that’s the problem; they were meant to be tools and as a society we’ve been utilizing their power in all the wrong ways, harming ourselves and our mental health.
At a time when the world finds itself uncertain of the future, I find peace and the certainty that what I’ve been hypothesizing for at least 3 years is taking place now.
From the first day I started designing Moodular I had a vision that was based on society’s behaviors, and the ratio between our yin & yang. I had hoped we’d change on our own before it reached a peak, and we did change; veganism & environmental awareness skyrocketed, there’s awareness for sustainability & conscious consumerism and ethical-fair trade has a spotlight. But that’s not enough, it wasn’t, for the past year I’ve seen statistics I’ve heard people talk... but “talk is cheap” and nothings really changed. Society still prefers fast everything, cheap everything and I kept asking myself ‘but at what cost?’ and here it is the most beautiful thing I’ve ever seen, nature literally putting a stop to it all. I know it sounds heartless, I am saddened by the amount of lives lost and the ones sick and suffering, along with that- we brought this on ourselves and now it’s our chance to reevaluate and tip the scales back- because the world is not black or white, it’s black and white. I could go on and on, but there’s a character limit for captions. I realize I’ve written unfinished thoughts, maybe you could finish them on your own for your own self/world reflection. I’ve never shared something that is so frank and dear to my heart & soul and I sincerely do not mean to offend or upset anyone.
This is a time to be kind and patient, towards ourselves and others and a time for drastic change.Look outside! The skies above me are so much clearer and crisper it’s mesmerizing.
