Ever wondered how we help runners find the right shoe?

When you come in for a running gait analysis, we’re not just looking at how fast you run or what brand you like. We look at a few key things:

• How your foot lands – heel, midfoot, or forefoot
• How your foot moves through the stride (does it roll in, out, or stay fairly neutral?)
• Your natural stride and cadence – everyone runs a bit differently
• Your running goals – easy miles, long runs, racing, trails, or a mix
• Comfort first – because the “best” shoe is useless if it doesn’t feel good on your foot

One very common mistake we see? Buying shoes that are too small.

Your feet swell when you run (yes, even on short runs), and you generally need about a thumb’s width of space at the front. Tight shoes can lead to black toenails, blisters, numb toes, and all kinds of avoidable niggles.

Our job isn’t to push a “magic” shoe — it’s to translate what we see into simple, practical advice so you leave in something that supports your running.

Pop in, jump on the treadmill, and let’s find shoes that actually work with your stride.

Juan Pablo Dos Santos was the last finisher of the New York City Marathon last November. Hours after the winners were done and most people had gone home, he was still out there. Still moving. Still refusing to stop.

After a serious accident, he lost part of his leg. For a long time, running wasn’t even a possibility. Yet somehow, he found himself on a marathon start line — not chasing a time, just trying to finish.

From this side of the Atlantic, where talk often turns to London Marathon ballots and PBs, his story is a reminder of what really matters.

A huge thank you to all our amazing customers for choosing us over Christmas and throughout January. Your support, chats, miles logged, and new-year running goals have kept us going through the busiest (and muddiest!) season of the year.

Whether it was gifts, new trainers, or New Year goals, we loved helping you get moving.

There’s something powerful about running in the dark 🌙
Quieter streets, clearer heads — but visibility has to come first.

A few night-running truths we’ve learned:

• Moving reflectivity gets noticed faster than static light
• Hands are key — arm swing makes them highly visible
• Lightweight layers beat bulky gear every time

That’s why we rely on:

Ronhill Reflective Classic Running Gloves — warm, comfortable, and reflective where movement matters most

Craft Visibility Vest — breathable, lightweight, and visible from every angle

Run calm. Run confident. Run visible.

Pro tip: A bad run still counts. Always.

Some days the legs feel heavy.
The pace won’t settle.
Everything just feels… harder than it should.

That doesn’t mean the run was pointless.

From a training point of view, you’re still getting benefits:

• Your aerobic system is working, even at a slower pace

• Your muscles and tendons are adapting to load

• You’re building consistency (which matters more than one “good” session)

And mentally?

You’ve practised showing up when it’s not ideal — which is exactly what helps on race day.

So don’t bin the run because it didn’t go to plan. Log it. Learn from it. Move on.

Not every run needs to be fast.
Not every run needs to feel good.
But every run counts.

We love the 361° Centauri Running Shoe.

If you want a daily trainer that just works, the Centauri is a strong pick. It has a smooth, balanced midsole with enough cushioning for longer runs, without feeling soft or unstable—so your legs still feel good as the miles stack up.

The ride is neutral and predictable, making it great for easy runs, steady efforts, and light tempo days. Add a breathable, secure upper and reliable grip, and you’ve got a shoe you forget about mid-run (the best compliment).
