To all my Darkest Star friends … As you may have realised, I’ve moved away from fashion and focusing on my art practise and community work …. my multi disciplinary practice experiments with the harmony between embroidery, painting and sculpture, focusing on text to create a narrative.

As part of an MRes at , my work is dedicated to researching the correlation between addiction, creativity and recovery, and humanising an affliction that impacts individuals, families and the wider community.

My work taps into real- life experiences and tells the story of how drugs and alcohol can make you feel, good and bad.

The first piece from my collaboration with is in production…

A few years ago I fell out of love with fashion, so tired of the endless seasons and trying to catch the attention of the ‘gate keepers’. I almost lost sight of what I’m passionate about … good quality design which stands apart from the cycles of fashion teamed with quality production. In my opinion the formula for slow fashion.

I now work with small production runs
and commissions only.

I’ve always admired styling of sharp tailoring, masculine shapes with feminine twists. She knows how to dress for comfort with attitude. Our collaboration is a total fusion of & …

I cut all patterns and stitch everything myself in our Hertfordshire studio. We spend time to get the most out of each skin we use, saving scraps and totally respecting it’s origins.

Detachable leather sleeves, part of Darkest Star & Anna Cascarina Blazer collaboration.

We wanted to collaborate with because she’s determined not to let the fashion industry dictate to women what they should and shouldn’t wear when you hit 40 … an age and body positive influencer she breaths confidence into women and encourages them to wear what suits their shape and personality whatever the seasonal trend …

Over the years so many women have admired our signature sleeves but couldn’t see themselves wearing them … now with Anna’s clever styling they can fit into any wardrobe nicely 🖤

The sun is out 🌞Summer gatherings are going to be a thing very soon ... let’s get festival ready !

I’m adding a few summery bits to the sample sale. One off’s or 2 pieces max.

Ornately designed with a mix of silver and gold Sam Brownes, cleverly wrapped with princess cording this piece is hand embellished suede with leather trim. Designed to be worn as the ultimate accessory this beautiful gilet grips around the shoulders to add interest to any outfit.

My favourite way to wear this is either with a clean white vest and denim shorts or a full length floral dress.

Sample Sale !

I love the cut of this top, it’s so flattering with a built in leather covered pad offering it a sharp shoulder. It’s worth mentioning that it can be worn under a tailored jacket without a problem. It’s a size 8 but feels slightly bigger. There’s room over the stomach area to wear a trouser happily underneath .... it almost didn’t make it into the sale !!
