The Atlantic Billboard, Look Both Ways project, tells the story of Leroy and takes a look at the complex history behind Brixton '81 Uprisings, based on the significance of the Atlantic Ocean and tracing back to the Zong massacre in 1781.
This took please directly outside our Atlanctic Road office, at the crossroads of Atlantic, Railton and Coldharbour, invites us to "Look Both Ways" to understand the full historical context of 1981.
Atlantic Billboard was created by four local young people working with experienced projectionist and local resident Dick Straker from Mesmer ().
Screenings took place between 8 pm-12am from Friday 9th April - Sunday 11th April.
We at Wainwright and Cummins are happy to have been invited to work on this project as many of our own members of staff having living memory of this event.
