Celebrating 25 Years of The Hand & Lock Prize for Embroidery ✨

Last week we celebrated a very special milestone, the 25th Anniversary of the Hand & Lock Prize for Embroidery, with our annual exhibition and awards ceremony at Gallery Rosenfeld, London.

The 2025 exhibition, held from 5 – 7 November, showcased the incredible work of our finalists across two floors of art, fashion and innovation in stitch.

This year’s theme, “Artistry and the Archive: Harnessing Heritage to Reinvent Art and Design,” invited entrants to uncover hidden histories and reinterpret them through contemporary embroidery.

We’re so grateful to everyone who joined us, our judges, mentors, associate award partners and guests for celebrating this landmark year with us.

Congratulations to all of our finalists and winners whose creativity, craftsmanship and imagination continue to shape the future of embroidery.
