Join us at Clerkenwell Vintage Fashion Fair on Sunday 13th April at where we will have a special selection of chic vintage dresses perfect for summer weddings and Royal Ascot, as well as more bohemian attire destined for festivals, Ibiza and beyond.

The first day of closed with festival producer interviewing the global head of couture at Vivienne Westwood, 🪡

Brigitte talked about her thirty year career at Westwood, the purple taffeta wedding dress her team made for Dita von Teese and the corseted gown painted with lyrics made for Taylor Swift’s Eras tour wardrobe. She recalled the conversation between Vivienne and Tracy Emin that resulted in the ‘drunken’ tailored suit - now the brand’s bestselling garment - and gave fascinating insights to the collection of Westwood dresses that are currently on display inside as part of the festival.

Tomorrow brings panel discussions with speakers including and , as well as workshops and catwalk shows.

British fashion brand Temperley London is taking part in this weekend, and founder Alice gave a talk earlier this afternoon. She spoke about her creative inspiration, the rollercoaster of steering a fashion brand through Covid and beyond, and Temperley’s new initiative of allocating digital passports to each garment, with a QR code on the tag that allows customers to find out how, where and when the garment was made, while also protecting its resale value.

There is a Temperley pop-up shop on site at the and the festival continues tomorrow, with more talks, catwalk shows and workshops.

Juno, my familiar and beloved companion for seventeen years, has gone to the great big squirrel hunt in the sky.

This photo was taken back in 2013 for for a piece on people who take their dog to work. She came to JSH HQ with me every day, first to Panther House off Grays Inn Rd, then my little underground office on Judd St, before the final move to the studio on Gloucester Avenue in Primrose Hill.

She snoozed in the corner over the course of hundreds of fittings and appointments and loved meeting customers. Truly one in a million 🧡

Calling all fashionistas 📢

Bath Fashion Festival is on 21st and 22nd September. The festival is the brainchild of supermodel and presenter , co-hosted by (you may know Scott from his fabulous Royal Ascot fashion commentary and podcast).

Speakers include , , vintage fashion champion and many more at the stunning Holburne Museum in Bath.

Come along and enjoy the catwalk shows, pop-up shops, panels talks and workshops with special installations from Manolo Blahnik and Vivienne Westwood.

I closed the boutique in Primrose Hill few years ago to concentrate on building an independent fragrance brand - - and I’m delighted to say that To The Fairest is one of the sponsors for the Bath Fashion Festival this weekend. Narrated by Scarlett Johansson, Catching Fire: The Story of Anita Pallenberg is the brilliant documentary based on unpublished manuscripts discovered by her family.

Anita Pallenberg was a German-Italian actor who was part of the Warhol gang and perhaps best known for her relationships with members of the Rolling Stones. This film aims to put the female perspective back in the official narrative of rock and roll.

Known for her ‘evil glamour’ style, her fashion choices were eclectic and bohemian, accessorised with statement jewellery and baker boy hats.
