Follow the Meadows in the Mountains Festival ethos when going to your festivals in 2020 wherever you are around the globe.
Our approach at Meadows is inherently considerate of the planet and our magical mountain. Each year, we create and champion green initiatives to help us keep the festival as sustainable and kind to Mother Earth as possible. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
♻️ We operate a site-wide ban of single use plastics to eliminate senseless waste and encourage the use of reusables. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
♻️ We turn rubbish into resource by creating positive waste cycles. Everything that gets disposed of on site (in bins or toilets) passes through our positive waste route for us to identify that which can be reused, composted or recycled.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
♻️ With the help of our Meadows Keepers, we make a huge effort to keep all waste types separate across the site to stop as much of it from going to landfill as possible. This includes metals, glass, bottles, soft plastics, food and paper/cardboard. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Our system only works if you do. Ahead of next year, we’d love it if you took the time to think about what you’re bringing and pack considerately. Ditch the disposable mindset and think for the long term. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Love the mountain and keep it beautiful! ⛰️✨ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
