Choosing Colours 🎨

One of our favourite parts of the design process for any new character or product is picking a palette of Pantones.

When collaborating on our upcoming Bear character, Ryan Libbey was involved right from the very beginning.

The palette that we ended up with, from this first brainstorming session, is one of our favourite to date!

Character Development 🐻

We took Ryan’s sketch from his personal branding and turned it into a full colour character vector to be used on badges and swing tags 🙌

“Thari the Whale Shark” ⭐️

Another new character is joining the Roarsome family.

We’re working on a bespoke swimwear collection with which will launch globally at the end of this year!

“Thari” means star in Dhivehi which is the national language of the Maldives. 🇲🇻

It was only right that the local Whale Sharks were the first ones to see the initial samples. 😍

Roarsome x Ryan Libbey 🐻

When we connected with rad dad Ryan Libbey last year, we knew we’d found a kindred spirit.

Together, over the past 12 months, we’ve designed a capsule collection, along with a new Roarsome Character - Grizz the Bear - based on a series of stories that Ryan is writing about parenthood, inspired by his son Leo.

“At a time when boys are increasingly exposed to louder and more performative ideas of what it means to be strong, Grizz offers something different. He reminds us that strength can be patient. It can listen. It can protect without controlling and lead without needing to dominate. Sometimes the strongest person in the room is the one making others feel safe enough to be themselves.”

The collection drops on Sunday, September 13th and we’re celebrating with a huge launch event at our Flagship Roarsome Store in London.

REBUILDING THE REEF 🪸

Coral reefs cover less than 2% of the ocean yet they support 25% of all marine life.

We had the incredible honour of helping and rebuild their reef.

What an amazing experience. We can’t wait to check on the Roarsome reef in a few years time to see how much it’s grown. ❤️
