We have successfully represented our client Justice Project in bringing a private prosecution following its investigation involving the calf traders.
The Defendants pleaded guilty at Kidderminster Magistrates’ Court.
This morning, they were each sentenced to 160 hours of unpaid work to be completed over the next 12 months, and a lifetime ban on keeping farmed animals. They also were all ordered to contribute towards Animal Justice Project’s costs.
This prosecution highlights the importance of holding those who violate animal welfare laws accountable.
