These handsome shirts (tunic style with buttons a third of the way down) have a musty smell. We have partly managed to get rid of it by airing them out for several days. However the musty smell remains to some extent.
What do you good people think? Wash and remove the lovely labels or leave as it is and warn buyers who will have to take care of the washing?
(Also let’s take this opportunity to admire the Lafont 50s and 60s graphics)
Wash or not?

Warm thanks to everyone who popped in at the weekend at - you chose some great pieces, we love seeing how people style things, how they look like they already own the garment, of they go off piste with something unexpected. Here we have a red Cornish smock (one of the two British-made pieces in the building), a fab black jacket worn oversize as a coat (looks so good, designer), a jacket repaired and customised boro style by has now found a new owner, a very old black moleskine jacket made by Alsace brand Koneco picked by , the Montreal duo is wearing a green waisted Italian chore jacket and a dream corduroy Lafont piece, a very old ‘Le Très Souple’ classic piece purchased earlier this year getting some great wear, finally very old dungarees by Le Mont St Michel, with the logo engraved in the metallic clips 👌such attention to detail. The Bobleu poster was much admired. Thank you for the lovely chats, for supporting our small business and most importantly for buying second-hand.
Thank you to Zac, Elodie and Saskia who helped in turns with the pop up and thank you to the team for being such great hosts.
I wish we had taken more photos, do tag us if you can.
Next pop up is scheduled for the end of September, which will give us time to gather another great collection for you. In the meantime we’re online of course, continuously adding pieces, and if you are local-ish to N16 you can choose the free ‘click and collect’ from our parcel box.
Voilà see you all soon

Thank you to all our Friday visitors you found some real treasures - and it was lovely to have our new Green councillor coming by picking a fisherman’s smock, just like the one he used to have - chose another green jacket in the end, so that distressed one is still available. We’re open 10.30 to 6.30 tomorrow, 10.30 to 5 Sunday.
