Did you know that all copies of Time Capsule Wardrobe ordered before the end of the year are signed? But time is running out if you’d like to receive your copy before Christmas 🎄

Last order dates are:
US, Canada & Europe - Monday 8 December
UK - Wednesday 17 December
I’ll continue shipping orders until Friday 19 December, but would recommend ordering as soon as possible if you’d like to receive your parcel before the holidays.

Next year I’m making some changes to my fulfillment process (hopefully getting the book into some bookshops!), but right now I’m still shipping everything out myself, so I can make each one a little special 😊 Giving a copy as a gift and want it personalised? Just let me know at checkout!

The Georgian Polonaise Dress is now available as a standalone PDF pattern!

Over the last month I’ve been hard at work creating a PDF instruction file for this pattern, filming a sewing tutorial video, and planning a sew along. (In hindsight, this was ambitious for the amount of time I had, but I got there in the end!)

The Georgian Polonaise Dress is a modern historybounding pattern inspired by the Robe à la Polonaise style of the late 18th century. It has a convertible skirt which can be worn 3 different ways, and the pattern can also be adapted to create a corset top - really the perfect history-inspired layering piece 💛

The PDF pattern includes an illustrated instructions document, print-at-home pattern files in A4 and US Letter size paper, and copyshop pattern files. There are 13 sizes included in the pattern (bust 80-144cm, full size chart in the website listing)

We made kits inspired by the iconic hand belt from Crimson Peak! I’ve been hard at work the last few weeks putting together a sewing pattern for this collaboration with Cuttle and Bone, and now you can make a belt just like the one I’m wearing here!

Sometimes I hear people talk about how they were born in the wrong time, and how really they should have been a Victorian lady, or would have fit in much better in 18th century French court than they do today. Can I just say... I think you're all wrong. We live in a time where it's never been easier to keep in touch, we have the benefits of modern medicine, and can express ourselves in nearly any way we want. Of course there are still lots of things that need changing, but no one is going to stop you from wearing historical clothes if you think you missed out. Live your best life. Dress however you want.

Those who follow on Instagram might know that I went along to the Foundations Revealed study day with the Symington Collection a while back, and fell so in love with the corsets and flossing sampler that for my next project, I went with something much more historical than my usual work. My 'Symington Repro' corset is still a little ways from being finished, and there's no photoshoot planned just yet, but here's a little glimpse at the inspiration for the project and behind the scenes of making it.
