After 8 wonderful years, I’m closing the chapter on the Allergy Badge and moving on to a new role 🤍 I’m so excited to be starting next week as Head of Training for The Natasha Allergy Research Foundation, the UK’s food allergy charity, whose work I’ve admired for years.
The Foundation has big, ambitious plans for schools, and I’m thrilled to be helping grow their offering, providing completely free allergy training and resources on a national scale, meeting the new law requirements and keeping children like Ella safe. Feeling very lucky to have this opportunity that means so much ✨
The Allergy Badge began with becoming Ella’s mum. With seeing first-hand what it’s like to live with life-threatening food allergies. Holding my precious little girl in an ambulance after an anaphylactic reaction to a single spoonful of yoghurt, not knowing if she’d be okay, changed everything!
So I decided I wanted to help. To educate the people looking after her, not just what to do in an emergency, but everything that can be put in place beforehand to create safer, more inclusive environments. What started with helping her nursery led me to retrain and build an accredited, in-person allergy training programme, because at the time, no one was offering this. That grew into training thousands of staff across schools and businesses nationwide, conference talks, corporate sessions, education campaigns and long-term consultancy partnerships — including with the brilliant team at Vitalite ✨
Thank you to everyone who’s worked with me, partnered with me, and recommended me along the way 🫶 I look forward to working with you through my new role .
