With only a month to go, schedules for February 2014’s London Fashion Week have already been publicised. Whilst pioneering the latest looks for the high street to quickly follow suit, fashion week also offers the opportunity to draw attention to upcoming talent within the industry. Fashion East, a scheme set up by Lulu Kennedy to showcase emerging designers, have chosen the three to represent the organisation for Autumn/Winter 2014.

Though Cara Delevingne may have dominated the fashion scene in 2013, the upcoming year plays host to several new faces, including that of Malaika Firth. Signed in 2011 by Premier, the 19 year old London-based model has already graced the Victoria's Secret catwalk, Beyoncés House of Dreon catwalk, and the new Burberry campaign.

Despite being a brand of classicism and renouned elegance in the world of fashion, the aesthetics of Chanel have remained arguably unchanged post Coco. Of course that is one of the aspects we all love about the brand, its consistent level of high quality, tailoring and traditionalism continue to enchant us with every collection. However, everyone likes a little change once in a while, and so it was pleasing to see Chanel’s Metiers d’Art show last week....
