Manchester United manager Erik ten Hag believes forward Rasmus Hojlund will be fit enough to feature against Liverpool in Sunday's FA Cup quarter-final.

Hojlund had scored eight goals in eight matches before a muscle injury ruled him out of United's past four fixtures.

Defenders Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka are also likely to return.

"We have, tomorrow [Saturday], one [training] session. We have to see how they recover from this, but it looks good," said Ten Hag.

The FA Cup is United's only hope of silverware this season. They are sixth in the Premier League, 17 points behind second-placed Liverpool.

Phil Foden did not just score two goals to win Sunday's Manchester derby, he grabbed the whole game by the scruff of the neck.

With Manchester City behind and wondering who was going to step up after Erling Haaland missed an absolute sitter, it was Foden who made the difference and changed the game in the second half.

His whole performance in City's 3-1 victory was outstanding. Physically he never seemed to tire, and overall he had the look of a player who is absolutely at the very top of his game.

As well as being supremely skilful and extremely fit, Foden is also a wonderfully intelligent footballer and he showed again against Manchester United that his decision making is one of the things that sets him apart.

By that, I mean when to dribble, and when to pass or shoot - and also, positionally, when to come inside and when to keep his width.

There is a debate about where he should play for City and England - but it really doesn't matter because he is so comfortable across the line, on the left or right or as a number 10 in Pep Guardiola's side behind Erling Haaland when Kevin de Bruyne is out.

Foden gets into the '10' position wherever he plays, because of his game intelligence, and of course he delivers too.

The thing you are always judged on when you are playing in forward positions is your end product and Foden's is as good as it can be at the moment.

With 18 goals in all competitions, this is already the best goalscoring season of his career, and he is well on course to make it the same with assists too.

Paris St-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe has agreed to join Real Madrid this summer.

The France captain, 25, has told PSG he intends to leave the club with his contract expiring in June.

Mbappe has not signed a contract with Real yet, but the deal could be announced once it is no longer possible for the clubs to meet in this season's Champions League.

The World Cup winner is PSG's record goalscorer with 244 goals.

Pep Guardiola warned Erling Haaland's critics "he will shut your mouth" after the prolific Norwegian boosted Manchester City's Premier League title hopes.

Haaland's 71st-minute winner against Brentford moved City into second place in the table - just a point behind leaders Liverpool - as he emphatically responded to missing a host of chances in Saturday's draw with Chelsea.

That Chelsea setback came just days after Haaland's grandmother died, and City manager Guardiola took the opportunity post-match to give his thoughts on the forward's recent critics - and journalists.

"With top scorers or strikers who score a lot of goals, don't criticise because he will shut your mouth, that's for sure," said Guardiola. "Sooner or later, he is there.

"Definitely, if I have to choose one [player to be running through on goal], I choose this one.

"He was out with injury for two months and is not in his best shape and just had an incredibly tough week because he lost his grandmother. That is not easy for a human being."

Asked a question about whether Haaland had been "determined to make an impact" against Brentford following some discussion in the media about his performance against Chelsea, Guardiola responded by saying he had "never" wanted to be a journalist.

When a reporter asked a further question about what was wrong with being a journalist, Pep replied: "I am a manager," he said. "My life is better than yours."

He then added his comment was "not personal" to the journalist asking the question.

Guardiola also said Belgium playmaker Kevin de Bruyne, who has just returned from five months out, has a hamstring issue.

"Today we could not use Kevin because he had niggles in his hamstring and I didn't want to take [a] risk," he said.

On the latest episode of BBC Radio Manchester's The Devils' Advocate podcast, Gaz Drinkwater, Jay Motty and Kim Burdett spoke about the win over Aston Villa and the performances of their young attacking players.

"Now we've got that front line, especially [Alejandro] Garnacho and [Rasmus] Hojlund, who feel like they have that threat that we've not had, especially since the back end of last year. I feel like they can win any game even if they're not playing necessarily well," said Gaz.

"I think Garnacho has been our best player this season."

Jay replied: "I think he's been very good. I like that he keeps going and keeps trying.

"Yes he can be a bit greedy at times but he's a kid who can score goals so I don't blame him too much but he doesn't give up running at his defender. I want to see that.

"Back in the day when we used to win things, if Ryan Giggs ran at a full-back and got tackled he wouldn't give up, he'd keep going and Garnacho has that about him.

"I'd rather see that than an attacking player who's going to stop, turn backwards and just not have the ability to run at players and he does that.

"And he must be a nightmare to play against."

West Ham's Michail Antonio and Fulham captain Tom Cairney have been discussing what impact Arsenal's win over Liverpool on Sunday could have on this season's title race.

Speaking on the Footballer's Football Podcast, Antonio said: "Liverpool are two points ahead so they need to not concentrate on whatever Man City or Arsenal are doing, they need to just concentrate on themselves and make sure they're winning their games.

"They still have that two-point margin.

"Arsenal - massive win for them. They just need to build on that confidence. Normally people say they get to this point of the season and they crumble but they've shown that they're starting to turn up again."

Cairney added: "Performance-wise I think they were better last season than this season.

"That game at the weekend was huge for Arsenal, that's why the celebrations were so big. In my opinion, if they hadn't won that game they wouldn't have much chance of catching Liverpool.

"I can't see them (Liverpool) losing three or four more games for the rest of the season, their squad is frightening. You could tell how big it was for Arsenal with what happened after the game. Arsenal will be up there but I think it's Liverpool or Man City's."
