Only 12 sleeps until the 2026 World Cup

Over on the fanzine blog two bands competing for the world cup Italia 90 number one. The official FA approved World in Motion by Manchesters New Order versus the Unofficial tune by Birminghams Pop Will Eat Itself ‘Touched By The Hand of Cicciolina’

These two music weeklies NME and Sounds from May 1990 giving insight into feel good football tunes along with our very own PWEI & New Order 12” Extended Plays

Probably the most complete world cup, it had the clothing, tackles, humour, players, acid house non alla violenza atmosphere and dead good music

We do a zine most seasons, we’ve been into them for yonks, 1990’s zines like Moke mod zine from Birmingham made a big impression and was an oracle for the scene and all that was good for counterculture intel.
+ it’s part of the Anglozine name so we have to do them- right?
Besides they are a constant source of inspiration and have given us some genuine international connections.

We even stopped with swing tags and industry standard packaging- it’s so flipping wasteful, a zine can be read, passed on, archived or used for all manner of leisure and fun projects like say…..roaches
